I can't imaginge how hard it has to be for RG to have probably her worst nightmare resurface :(

RG is likely both traumatized and relieved: Traumatized (PTSD) for having to relive her experience again and relieved that JDW has been caught and will have to stand trial for the crimes against Sierah. My prayers go out to RG and S's family/friends.

:giggle: You are fine. It actually was supposed to be today (today AND tomorrow, I think). Don't know what happened to today's.

Anyone planning on attending the hearing tomorrow?

FYI: Cost to execute James Worley could exceed $1 million <News VIDEO>

If convicted for the murder of 20-year-old Sierah Joughin, James Worley would be the first person from Fulton County to face the death penalty in over 100 years. Fewer Ohio prosecutors are seeking the death penalty, but not because of waning public interest in capital punishment. According to a 2015 Quinnipiac poll, 69 percent of registered Ohio voters support the death penalty. Yet, since 2010 death penalty indictments declined 77 percent from 81 to just 19 this year. The reason? Legal experts tell me it comes down to economics. It costs tax payers up to $3 million to execute a convicted murderer and less than half that to lock him up for life. My response to WTOL article on executions; JMO

Death row inmates; specifically serial predators/killers receive many benefits and perks denied the general inmate population. They are segregated from the general population in private cells with extra security, unending field trips while attending appeals, excellent medical care including rx and psychological, and frequent visitors from their defense Attorneys, FBI BAU2 and other LEAs, etc. Some even get married while on death row; Richard Ramirez; Night Stalker, while others are Wed and father offspring during conjugal visits; Ted Bundy.. Once the media lights dim on them and their heinous acts, the Governor or Pardons and Parole Board will many times commute their sentence to LWOP.

Kenneth Allen McDuff (March 21, 1946 – November 17, 1998) was a savage prolific Texas serial killer. ... He was given a new <2nd> death sentence after being released from prison where he was already serving a death sentence, and then executed for a murder committed after his release.

I understand some cases of appeals and all, but when there is not doubt on guilt I can't prrtrbd I understand. Serial killers that get caught should not get a fair chance, why is their life more important then the many they have taken?
Ce had her entire life ahead of her, she didn't ask for it to be ended. So why give JDW the time to finish his?
I hate the legal system, the good get hurt and the bad walk away.

So far nothing locally either. As far as I am aware it's still on.
