Yes I bike in this park often where the remains were found it is about 1/2 hour from Cleveland.

Well, according to one of the articles there were clothes found, which included a bra. Another article said they were unable to determine if male or female, but my bet is a female.

Now, according to mapquest, this is only about 1/2 hour to hour from Cleveland.

Someone is going to get some bad news.

Any quick thoughts about missing in that area? Sounds like they could have been there awhile..

Taylor Robinson is missing from Akron which is not too far from this location.

The article mentions Taylor Robinson from Akron as a possibility. One of many, I'm sure.

body found in Cuyahoga Valley National Park. They haven't said, but I was thinking it may be Taylor. We will have to wait and see.

I was watching the news reports at WEWS web site, and in one of them, the reporter states he was told by an unnamed person at the site that one of the clothing items recovered was a bra.

There are 2 or 3 video news reports at this link, IIRC, the reporter made the comment in the second video.

Oh dear!!

I guess we'll have to wait to find out if it's Taylor. No matter what, it is someone's loved one! :(

S**T! (please pardon my language, but this is upsetting.)

Here is another similar news article, with perhaps a bit more detail.

The unidentified skeletal remains were found scattered along with articles of clothing.

Chief Ranger Chris Ryan said investigators could not immediately determine if the remains are male or female nor could they say how long they had been in the park.

A law enforcement source said the tattered remains of what appears to be a bra was located during the search. Nothing other than bone and clothing were recovered, park officials said Tuesday.

oh Taylor... what happened to you darling girl? Such sad news today for this family. my heart goes out to them as they struggle with this discovery.

Really sad outcome. I can't understand why the family was assured that it wasn't her, and now it is. So sad.

I don't understand why an officer would tell her the remains were likely not hers and now they are. Poor mother.

Very sad outcome. It sounds like the Akron PD spoke too soon. RIP Taylor, I hope justice is served.

Oh no!

Rest in peace dear Taylor.

A beautiful young woman...I am so sorry that you have had your life cut so short. It's just not fair. Hugs to Taylor's family.

Taylor’s mother, Carmilla Robinson, thanked the Akron Police Department and the community.

“Now we have an answer, at this point. We were in limbo; but now we have closure,” Carmilla said. She went on to say, “She’s not a lost child anymore.”

I'm really disappointed about how this case went. I live a couple miles north of Akron and had to search online and in newspapers in attempt to find any updates while she was missing, nine times out of ten finding nothing. They covered it very minimally in the news in my opinion.

I hate knowing that when I'm hiking and exploring the park (where she was found) that there's a chance of running into these creeps. This isn't the first disposal and this particular sicko is still walking around free.

I may have missed it above but to answer a question - the officers told the mom that the remains appeared older than 4 months so they assumed they were not her daughters at first.

RIP Taylor
