This young woman disappeared out of Tulsa, Oklahoma and was last seen on 7/12/1994. Like so many other older missing and cold cases, this one seems to have been forgotten about for the longest time. Mayo also known to use the last name Harris, was last seen by her husband between the hours of one and two am. She lived near 800 s Utica ave and she told her husband that she was leaving to get a pack of cigarettes and she never came home and she was never seen again. Her husband William, told police that she was a prostitute and it was not uncommon for her to disappear and drop in and out whenever she was doing "work."

She was known to frequent the areas of eleventh and Utica and fifth and Birmingham. Foul play has been suspected and there has been no further updates or information about the case. TPD Unsolved Crimes

Mayo wasn't just a prostitute but she had also got in trouble over time for check fraud attempting to gain money through deception and she had been in a lawsuit where she owed somebody money. She and her husband were also getting a divorce two years before her disappearance which was never finalized and is still pending according to records on OSCN.

Obviously, she wasn't the best character to be around due to her seedy lifestyle but I think perhaps maybe her husband should be questioned a little more about her disappearance. Their marriage was toxic because she couldn't stay faithful because of what she was doing to make money and I think rather than having to go through a divorce and deal with other financial issues like alimony, I believe there is a possibility he could have found a way to get rid of her- or maybe she was murdered by people that she owed money to? maybe she was kidnapped by a network of human traffickers? I don't think we will ever know.

anybody ever find anymore information about this case? please post, because this is pretty interesting to me.
