There are so many things I want to talk about about this case but can't and won't. Let's just say MOO the police here try to dig up a little dirt so it looks like they are doing something when all of us who were around and on the "streets" when this happened know they botched this investigation so bad there will prob never be justice. Let me just say I am so glad I got out of this life and am living sober today. RIPCarina We love you always.

That's the one - horrific to say the least

Except that both guys that were initially convicted of the whole thing had charges dropped against them and the witness that described the terrible dismemberment scene said she actually wasn't there.

With that said Jimmy Massey who reportedly talked about dismembering Carina and was let go doesn't look like someone I would want to run into late at night

They were never convicted just arrested. Luis Ruiz in turn sued the City of Bethany and won. Massey aka Big Country was in prison for other charges....I believe he is out now. I would have to look it has been a while...

Sources: Woman Accused In Kidnapping Claims She Witnessed Carina Saunders’ Murder

Sheri Maldonado was arrested last Sunday after officials said she attempted to kidnap a child from the Devon Ice Rink in broad daylight. Now, law enforcement officials have confirmed to News 9 Maldonado, who has had a past with drugs and prostitution, told investigators years ago she witnessed Carina Saunders’ brutal murder.

This one has always tugged at my heart. Glad the OSBI is still actively working the case.

Just a few years prior, Carina would probably be the last person anyone could have guessed would end up as such internet fodder. She was a star student, winning spelling bees and graduating high school early. Carina is said to have made friends incredibly easy, with such an outgoing and bubbly personality. I read one person describing her as a shining star. She was an avid tree climber and had what was described as an infectious laugh. Even one of the last known people to see her alive, a friend from high school, would comment on her wonderful personality. To so many- she was so much more than “that girl found in a duffel bag”

Her mother, posting flyers all over Oklahoma City after Carina’s disappearance, was absolutely convinced her daughter was going to call her ranting and raving for plastering Carina’s picture everywhere. What happened instead was that her mother heard on the radio that a body had been found behind the Homeland grocery store in Bethany on October 13th.
