My God - what could she possibly have done to make these lowlifes think she deserved such a brutal death? Evil.

BETHANY, Oklahoma - An unexpected twist in one of the most brutal murder cases in the metro. News 9 is uncovering new developments in the killing of Carina Saunders. The 19-year-old was found dismembered in duffle bags in Bethany in October 2011.

After more than 15 months of investigation by detectives with the Bethany Police Department, the OSBI confirms the state agency has been called in to investigate the murder of Carina Saunders.

In July, prosecutors charged Jimmy Massey and Luis Ruiz with the murder of Carina Saunders. A preliminary hearing for the two suspects was scheduled last month but was rescheduled for May.

Not a surprise. This is Oklahoma.

Daily Oklahoman:
Luis Enrique Ruiz's attorney, Derek Chance, said his client is extremely pleased with the decision “to involve the OSBI” in the murder investigation.

“From day one we have had serious questions and concerns about the poor investigation,” Chance told The Oklahoman.

“We remain confident that Luis will be exonerated, and this late investigative effort supports our contention. Of equal concern is the fact that the actual killer is still at large.”

OSBI Offers Reward In Saunders Homicide Case

The OSBI is offering up to a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the homicide of Carina Saunders.

If anyone has any information, knows of any evidence in this case, they are urged to call 1-800-522-8017. The $10,000 reward is the maximum state law allows OSBI to offer.

Ach - rewards. Well, at least it's something. OSBI must have no clue.

To me the way the body was found cut up in duffle bags behind a grocery store gives a lot of evidence really. First the killer was a lone person who had to cut up the body to move it. Second the killer wanted her found because of where she was left.

I would look for a smaller person who had a crush on Carina. Those 2 big guys could have easily moved Carina's body, I don't think they are involved. LE needs to go back to the drawing board.
