"We have maintained integrity of Palma's house since his arrest. After multiple days of tiresome searching and difficult manual labor, we are sad to announce we did not find Kirsten Hatfield's remains, however, it does not discourage us as we continue our investigation," Clabes said.

Could he have been so brazen as to have buried her under a tree on the grounds of the state capitol? If he buried her out near Lake Thunderbird where he also worked, it is going to be difficult to find her. Both areas need to be searched.

Prosecutors say man accused in 1997 cold case has history of sexual assaults

http://newsok.com/article/5478224

Prosecutors in a cold case are alleging the murder defendant accused in the 1997 disappearance of an 8-year-old Midwest City girl committed sex crimes against two other girls and tried to rape his landlady.

Prosecutors filed a notice this week that they intend to offer evidence of the other crimes to a jury if Anthony Joseph Palma goes to trial. Palma's attorney said he will fight to keep the information away from the jurors.

“The state's theory of the case is that Defendant Palma entered the home through the window and kidnapped the victim, tearing her panties from her as they fled through the backyard, for the purpose of sexually assaulting her,” prosecutors wrote Tuesday in a court document. “The three other instances of sexual assault ... paint the picture of a man with a dangerous propensity to break into a residence during the night to commit a sexual related assault, to use violence upon the person of his female victims who resist the attack and a propensity to perpetrate sexual crimes against young girls given the opportunity.”

A preliminary hearing on the cold case is set for May 13. Prosecutors then will present evidence to a judge who will determine whether Palma will face trial.

Police are currently searching for a home in Jones Oklahoma for evidence in relation to a Midwest City cold case.

Police are staying tight lipped on this one, but they will confirm they’re searching for evidence in connection with a Midwest City cold case.

They won’t tell us which one, but the chief says there are five cold cases his office is still investigating.

Those are Kenneth Frasure (1986), Nancy Probst (2000), Dale Johnson (1997), Brenda White (1967), and Kirsten Hatfield (1997).

Kirsten Hatfield is the only missing person case of the group. The rest are murder cases.

What other breaks are they going to give this SOB pedophile murderer?

New Trial Date Set For Accused Kidnapper, Killer Anthony Palma

http://www.news9.com/story/34292548/new-trial-date-set-for-accused-kidnapper-killer-anthony-palma

Anthony Palma's trial was originally set for March 6 at the Oklahoma County Courthouse. Now, it is set for October 9, one of the latest changes in this case since he fired his private attorney.

It was back in December that both Palma and his then private attorney Irven Box, told the judge that Palma was out of money and could not pay for his legal defense anymore.

After researching his income and obligations, a judge agreed and assigned the public defender's office to handle the case from that date forward.

Court documents state three women claim Palma assaulted them several years ago, and what happened to them eerily mirrors what prosecutors think happened to Kirsten.

The 16-page document was filed a year ago and states Palma has preyed on young women and girls before.

The first woman expected to testify was "approximately 8 years old" when the incident happened.

She is 45 now and is expected to tell a judge how Palma, who was dating her mother at the time, entered the home through the girl's bedroom window during the night and touched her inappropriately.

An Oklahoma County judge Thursday ruled that "prior bad acts" evidence against the murder defendant accused in the 1997 disappearance of an 8-year-old Midwest City girl can be presented to a jury at his trial...

Prosecutors presented testimony Thursday from three women who told the judge about being assaulted in the past by Palma. District Judge Glenn Jones then found the evidence admissible at trial because it shows a "propensity" of Palma to commit the type of act he is charged with now...

Jury trial is set for October.

Judge Approves DNA Testing Of Teeth Found In Accused Killer's Home

http://www.news9.com/story/36212872/judge-approves-dna-testing-of-teeth-found-in-accused-killers-home

Court documents state a molar tooth and a canine tooth were discovered in a chest that was located in Palma's bedroom.

In court Thursday, state prosecutors and Palma's defense team agreed, DNA testing should be done by the OSBI. The judge gave the state the green light to proceed with the DNA analysis of the teeth. Prosecutors hope the DNA of the teeth will be a match to Kirsten Hatfield's DNA profile.
