Silver Alert has been for 76-year-old Jack Grimes, from Turley. Grimes was supposed to meet his friend, 59-year-old Dwayne Shelby and go to a horse show in Fort Worth, Texas on Friday.

Family member's of Grime say he always calls to let them know he arrived at the show, but never called to let them know they had made it to Fort Worth.

The pair was supposed to return home on Monday, but no one has heard from or scene Grimes and Selby since Friday.

They were traveling in a 2001 maroon Ford Taurus with Oklahoma license plate ETW-614.

Grimes needs medication to manage his diabetes.

'A very strange turn of events': TCSO investigating three missing persons

A Silver Alert was issued for Parton by the Pryor Creek police, but TCSO said because she went missing in Tulsa County, they are handling both investigations.

Dewayne's sister-in-law told NewsChannel 8 the two men never made it to Fort Worth either.

"One of the horse trainers that they work with out of the Fort Worth area called Dwayne Selby's mother, Glenda Parton, and told her that they never showed up for the show," she said.

Parton went searching for her son on Monday evening near his home in Turley.

"Her car was found on 75 highway near the 56th street exit," she said.

On Wednesday evening, the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office released new security camera photos from a local business that were taken right before she disappeared.

Pictured is Parton and a man the Sheriff's Office said is now a person of interest.

The family said that the man seen with Parton is a ranch hand.

TULSA COUNTY, Okla. — Thursday afternoon information released by the Tulsa County Sheriff’s office stating detectives had located and talked to the person of interest in the disappearance of Glenda “Cookie” Parton.

  • 10:15 a.m. THURSDAY— Authorities confirm the passenger car the two men, 76-year-old Jack Grimes and 59-year-old Dwayne Selby, were supposed to be traveling in was found abandoned at Mohawk Park.
  • 2:15 p.m. THURSDAY — “The person of interest in the disappearance of Glenda ‘Cookie’ Parton has been identified, located and interviewed. We no longer need tips on his identity. Thank you to everyone who submitted tips and helped to get the word out by sharing this information.” — TCSO

Not being familiar with Tulsa, I looked these up. The locations are on the north side of Tulsa. The highway 75 / 56th street intersection is along the northwestern border of Mohawk Park, but it looks like one would have to drive around it from there about 1-2 miles to enter the park by car. So, both vehicles were found in the same general vicinity.

Parton went searching for her son on Monday evening near his home in Turley.

"Her car was found on 75 highway near the 56th street exit," she said.

Edited for clarity.
ETA Also, it doesn't look like ever got started on the Fort Worth trip
