Latest search for missing Welch girls yields no evidence

MIAMI — No credible evidence was found in a daylong search of a rural area in northern Ottawa County on Wednesday for the remains of two missing and presumed dead teenagers, Ashley Freeman and Lauria Bible.

A tip from a person, who reported possibly seeing a clandestine grave in the area, led local and state agents along with cadaver dogs from K9 Search Oklahoma to two undisclosed locations on Dec. 28, 2017, in the far northeast corner of Oklahoma and southeast corner of Kansas.

A drone was used to survey the rocky, hilly and snowy terrain while the dogs hit on a couple of sites.

Weather-related issues forced the search into a months-long hiatus.
..
Wednesday’s search was the latest disappointment in an 18-year-old mystery. Investigators have searched locations in Ottawa County where bones were discovered in a field. Divers have searched Grand Lake and a water-filled quarry in Chelsea. Cameras have been dropped into abandoned wells in Chetopa, Kansas, and abandoned mines and mining areas in Picher and Galena, Kansas.
..

Here's a timeline - but of course I can't read it....

Welch timeline

can someone give a 10% synopsis please? TIA! :)

Slightly off topic:
As fellow European, I feel you, Niner! These region restricted sites (and they are MANY!) are a pain in the  , but fear not! VPN is your friend. There are several decent and free VPN services available online, just do a little google search ;)

Some reason have double post...

It's now an entire generation ago that Lorene Bible's 16-year-old daughter Lauria was abducted and murdered.

Jay and Lorene Bible were blessed already with 16 grandchildren to share their holidays when Lauria went missing the night of Dec. 29, 1999.

Today, the Oklahoma couple can boast of 18 great-grandchildren. Yet this year, just as it has been for the past 19 years, the joy of the holidays for the Bible family remains tempered by the loss of Lauria.

Families, investigators still resolved in search for missing girls' remains

Ugh, no such luck this go-round, either. We're now looking at February 22nd.

High profile cold case delayed again

I am guessing/hoping that the Preliminary hearing is still set for Feb 22?

Ronnie Busick preliminary hearing was rescheduled for February 22.

Snip...

Police say Busick kidnapped and killed Lauria Bible and Ashley Freeman back in 1999 in Welch.
