I'm happy to see an update, but it leaves me more curious than I was before.o_O I wonder about ole boy's alibi. It seems odd to me that LE hasn't given any information about where she went with him. Where did he take her? Wouldn't that be her last known location? Something isn't jiving w/me. Where's Ms. Ruth? :confused:

Nearly three weeks have passed since an 82-year-old New Lima woman was last seen.

OSBI asked the public to identify a man who investigators wanted to speak with. The man has since been identified and has an alibi.

UPDATE: I TALKED AT LENGTH TONIGHT TO THE MAN PICTURED IN THE PHOTO OSBI SENT TO US TODAY.

-HE SAYS HE TALKED TO OSBI AGENTS TODAY AND TOLD THEM HE HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH RUTH LOUIE'S DISAPPEARANCE AND SAYS HE WAS WITH HIS MOTHER ALL DAY, THE DAY IN QUESTION.

-HE SAYS HE HOPES SHE IS FOUND AND HIS HEART GOES OUT TO THE FAMILY.
-TO ERR ON THE SIDE OF CAUTION, I HAVE REMOVED THE PHOTO SENT TO US FROM OSBI FOR THE TIME BEING.

-I'LL CHECK WITH AGENTS TOMORROW FOR AN UPDATE ON THE CASE.

OSBI is asking for your help finding 82-year-old Ruth Louie from New Lima, OK, who is missing.
-The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office issued a Silver Alert for Ruth on February 6th.
-Ruth was last seen on February 4th in the Twin Bridges area of Highway 270 near New Lima.
-Ruth was known to walk from New Lima to Wewoka daily.
-She was seen getting into a white Nissan Altima.
-The white Altima was possibly driven by an older white man, pictured below.
-OSBI agents would like to speak to him to see if he has any information about Ruth or where she was headed that day.
-Please contact the OSBI at (800) 522-8017 or tips@osbi.ok.gov if you have any information about Ruth or know who the man is.

My question exactly!
I’m not implying he’s being untruthful, but a little clarification from LE would be helpful.
Did Ms Ruth get into a vehicle matching his or was it this man’s particular vehicle? Because if it was his, then I’m very confused as to how he was in two places at once.
 
Was it shared where LE obtained the photo of the man driving his vehicle?
Was it near where Ms Ruth was seen getting into the car?

I’m not sure mlhenn, I guess when I first saw the photo I “thought” they knew it was the man driving the car she got into. I need to reread to get more info on how that photo and person came to LE’s attention. MOO
 
I don't understand why there are no updates or new appeals for tips. I sure hope they haven't simply accepted that man's alibi then closed the file. It might be wise for them to watch him closely. ;)

Thank you @Charlii for the update. Although heartbreaking, at least the family is able to lay her to rest. I pray they get the answers they deserve. This article is very sad to read IMO.

To Note from the article:
•Ruth Louie’s body was found just feet from her home.
•The family told KFOR her body had not been there when investigators previously searched the area.

“I actually believe someone brought her back and I’m glad they did,” said Tresha Jackson-Goss. “Anybody that does anything to someone like that, they’re not human. They’re animals, because she didn’t bother anyone.”

•A family member was driving by her home and spotted something by the fence.
•Upon taking a better look, he discovered it was Ruth’s body.
•The same area had been searched previously by family and officials.
•family believes foul play may have been involved in her disappearance.
•family believes the person responsible may have picked her up during one of routine walks.

“I believe somebody had her, and took her, and threw her over the fence,” said Cora Lee Louie, Ruth’s younger sister. “She would fight. I mean, she looked frail and everything, but she would fight.”

Ruth Elizabeth Louie went missing February 4, 2021. After a long and prayerful search she was found on March 25, 2021 and will now be laid to rest by her family, friends and community that love her very much.

Rest in Heaven Dear Miss Ruthie. We love you. One of her favorite songs was Going up Yonder.
