Found Deceased OK - Samuel Crawford, 21, Morrison, Noble County, 29 Aug 2023 *arrest*

Stillwater Police Department and Noble County Sheriff’s Office are working a missing person’s case. Samuel Cade Crawford was last seen at Bill’s Corner in Morrison at approximately 4:15 p.m. on August 29, 2023. He has not been seen or heard from since.

He drives a 2014 white Ram 2500 bearing Oklahoma tag GOE862. The pickup is lifted with larger tires, and a large aftermarket brushguard with lights.

Authorities are asking for the public's help in finding a missing 21-year-old Stillwater man who has not been seen since last week.

During the search, portions of Crawford’s truck were spotted in Glencoe.

While executing a search warrant on the property was executed, agents found a deceased male. The body was transported to the Oklahoma Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine positive identification and cause of death.

Michael Somers, 21, was arrested and booked into the Payne County Jail on Sept. 8 on complaints of first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder, larceny of motor vehicle, knowingly concealing stolen property and operating a chop shop.

“On September 8th, they deployed a helicopter to scan a large area in Payne County,” said Hunter McKee, spokesperson for the OSBI.

State agents said that’s when they found an alleged chop shop, somewhere near VFW Rd. and Prairie Rd. in Glencoe, allegedly operated by 21-year-old Christopher Michael Somers.

“During that search they discovered parts of Crawford’s vehicle,” said McKee. “When they noticed parts of his vehicle, they executed a search warrant, and when they were searching that area they found a deceased male.”

Another of Somers’ acquaintances told authorities that Somers proposed to kill another man, claiming “to have barrels of battery acid which he intended to use to dispose of [the potential victim’s] body.”

“[Witness] further stated that Somers told them if they told anyone about this plan to kill [potential victim] and/or Sam, that he, Somers, would kill them or have them killed,” the affidavit reads.

Somers has been charged with Murder in the First Degree.
