Do you know what year the last activity on his SSN was? That could help narrow down when he disappeared, and perhaps point to a time frame within which to look at unidentified bodies.
I did ask the detective when the last year his SSN had activity on it, he couldn't give me a year. Just said it hasn't had activity. I did call social security and asked them if they could give me a year. They said no because of privacy. I'm open to other options. I'll try anything.

In another post you said the detective told you that your dads SSN hasn't been used for years.
I'm guessing it's very unlikely that the detective is going to change his mind and give you a year date that it was last used, but I was wondering if he may be able to give you a better idea if you were to ask him if it's been 'many years' or 'many decades' since the SSN was last used.

Thank you. I hadn't thought about asking it that way.

My DNA reference sample has been loaded and searching CODIS on Stephen's NAMUS. Getting closer to some answers. Much love and appreciation for everyone. Happy Holidays.
I just saw Stephen's picture and information on Facebook. I was happy to share it. The word is getting out. Hopefully, the right person sees it.

Do you remember where it was posted? An LE site, a Missing Persons site? Was it posted in a specific geography location?

Just curious...... as we all want to help Snoangel in her journey.

Searching for Steve's SS# - We are close in age, he's 4 months older and looks like all my friends during our teenage years in Minnesota. The SS# are almost sequential for my 3 siblings and myself, the 1st 3 digits were the state issued (this is no longer done), the next 2 digits the same, and last 4 digits almost sequential.
Thinking of documents and forms where his SS# could be: School records (high school, vo-tech, college), recruitment records, personal and/or home loans, old voter registrations. I have found my ss# on previous car, life & health insurance documents, payroll and life insurance forms, banking (checking & savings accounts, car loans), medical and school vax records, employment, and of course, income tax forms. When lil sis passed 7 years ago, her church records added to her history. HTH

I was able to obtain his social security number. Other then the detective telling me there has been no activity on it, I have no clue how to look.

Happy New Year, @Snoangel26 !!!

Did the detective happen to tell you the last/most recent wage reported under your Dad's SSN?

Was it from the military, or some other employment?

Bet you've asked, and shared the answer/non-answer already....

All the best for you in 2024!

The detective only said that his SSN hasn't been active. No clue if it has been decades or just years.
