OKLAHOMA AMBER ALERT: Amber Alert issued for missing 14-month-old Oklahoma City girl

Police are looking for 14-month-old Zyla Milburn, who was last seen just after 12 p.m. near Bryant Avenue and Oakcliff Drive. Police do not have a clothing description.

The Amber Alert listed the child's father, 37-year-old Brandon Milburn, as a suspect. Police said he may be armed and dangerous.

Milburn is believed to be driving a white or silver, 2013, four-door Toyota Prius with Oklahoma license plate AEX868.

Police said the child was last seen with her father, who drove away from a homicide scene.

Brandon Milburn stands 6 feet, 1 inch tall and weighs about 200 pounds. It’s unknown what he was last wearing. Police released a driver’s license photo of Milburn taken in February 2019.

There is a lot more detail if you click, on the link, as this is 10% per TOS. Brandon Milburn sounds very dangerous, and I hope LE apprehends him quickly. I'm very concerned about Zyla's mother at this point.

He's wearing blue pyjama pants? Has he escaped from a hospital or mental institutions? He looks kinda Odd in his photographs. MOO

Good morning all. I saw this as it was happening on my local news. How scary! I’m so happy the child’s aunt did the right thing to return the baby where hopefully she is now being lovingly cared for. The OKC area where the woman was found dead is close to where my husband’s auto repair shop used to be. The man was shot in Norman - a ways away.

Police say they don’t have ‘conclusive evidence’ that Brandon is the suspect in the homicide.

Police added that it's early in the investigation, so they aren't sure if the woman found dead was the child's mother.
OKLAHOMA AMBER ALERT: Amber Alert canceled after 14-month-old girl recovered; search for suspect still ongoing

snip:
Authorities searched for Milburn this evening outside Norman city limits near Southeast 159th and Anderson at around 3:30 p.m. after the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office received a 9-1-1 call about a man matching Milburn’s description breaking into a home and pointing an AK-47 at the homeowner and then taking off into the woods.
...
Police said the suspect, a slender black male wearing a white T-shirt and a backpack, left the Southwest 95th Street residence in a pickup after shooting the man. They said he drove to 104th and May, where he abandoned the pickup and carjacked another vehicle from someone at that location. He then allegedly abandoned that vehicle at 119th and May and left the scene on foot.

Authorities searched for Brandon Milburn for five hours on Tuesday evening. The search has been suspended for the night, but will pick back up on Wednesday morning.

Brandon Milburn is believed to be wearing a white shirt and blue pajama pants. If you have information about his whereabouts, please call 9-1-1 immediately.

There is a Brandon Milburn in oscn results, with no real dangerous record. I can’t tell definitively it’s him but can see possible connections. Where is this guy and who did he or someone kill and why?

...
It’s unclear if Zyla was with him at this time. However, KFOR learned at some point in the afternoon, Zyla was first handed off to her grandfather, then to her aunt, Milburn’s sister. Milburn’s sister then drove the 14-month-old child to the Love County Detention Center in southern Oklahoma to give the child to authorities shortly after the Amber Alert was called.

“She saw the Amber Alert and realized that the Amber Alert was the baby that she had in a vehicle,” said Love County Sheriff Marty Grisham. “She came back to the Love County center; the Oklahoma highway patrol picked her up at about the 15-mile mark and escorted her back on in.”

A few hours later, shortly before 10 o’clock, Milburn called his brother.

“There was fear in his voice and remorse and regret and shame. He wanted to turn himself in, we had talked about it,” Vinson Milburn said.

It would be the last time they ever spoke. Vinson told KFOR the 37-year-old man was the man shot by police.

“My brother is not a monster,” he said. “He was just a man trying to have a family support his family.”
