Alvarez-Olivera's van was found on Cleveland Street in Woodburn, Oregon at his ex-girlfriend's apartment.

We know of two prior arrests in the state of Oregon,” police said. “Both were five to seven years ago and were for unlawful taking of forest products,”explaining some of Oregon’s forest products are known to be illegally sold for use in floral arrangements, but adds “we have no information of him ever being charged with, or arrested for, a person crime, a violent crime or anything like that.

“We don’t know if Alvarez-Olivera and Cynthia even knew each other before being together [at Tequila Nights Bar and Grill].”

Alvarez-Olivera “was last thought to reside in the Woodburn area, however investigators have not been able to determine exactly where he resided or with whom prior to July 16th.” However, “Alvarez-Olivera is believed to have left the Marion County area on Sunday, July 16th, a short time after Cynthia Martinez was last seen with him.”

The "503" tattoo is troubling. That is typically gang related. Not just Oregon gangs, but also popping up in MS13 members as it's the area code for El Salvador.

[h=3]Keizer police investigating farmlands, forested areas in search for missing woman[/h]
KEIZER, OR (KPTV) - Police are hoping surveillance or trail cameras at rural farmlands or forested areas may provide clues in the search for a missing Woodburn woman last seen at a bar in Keizer.
Martinez is a mother of four children. Family members said she was at the bar with friends to celebrate her 26th birthday.

Investigators want to talk to anyone who may have seen Martinez, Alvarez-Olivera or the minivan between 2:30 a.m. July 16 and 11:45 a.m. July 17.

Specifically, detectives referenced cameras that may have captured them at any rural farmland or forested area northeast of Keizer, Brooks, Lake Labish, Silverton, Mt. Angel, Scotts Mills or Molalla.

That includes private and public property that may be frequented by property owners, farmers, field workers, hikers, hunters, fishermen, loggers, tree planters, fire patrols or forest managers.

The average age for a first-time sex trafficking victim is 12-14. There is trafficking done for other than the sex trade but it is not as common. AT 26, she would not have been a prime target for that.
True. Most of those trafficked are the young and easily molded. They do not want someone that can really think for themselves. Which, of course, comes with age. Children are more likely to not rebel against them out of fear. The older you get the more chances you may take.

Two years after Cynthia Martinez vanished, her family still searches for answers

Angelica Castillo sits in front of a wall covered in photos of her missing daughter.

It's been almost two years since Cynthia Martinez left a Keizer bar and vanished into the night. A growing, rainbow-hued collage of artwork by Martinez's four children surrounds her photos in their Tigard home.

They are growing so fast, Angelica said. Martinez's youngest daughter was only 2-months-old when she went missing. She's taken her first steps, celebrated two Christmases and said her first words without her mother.

"Because we don't have answers, it makes it harder for our grandkids," Angelica said.

Just wanted to say that this one hits close to home. Tequila Nights is about 5 minutes from me. I remember when this happened...so scary and sad there haven’t been updates. I’m still keeping my eyes peeled.

I hope it's okay to post these flyers. They include the places Jaime is known to be associated with as well areas that they are asking people to report anything that may be related to Cynthia's disappearance. Also pics of what she was wearing. Lots of hiking, camping and exploring going on during the summer :) I hope her family gets some answers soon :(

Police have not named Alvarez-Olivera as a suspect and believe he may have left the country.

Crime Stoppers of Oregon is offering an up to $2,500 reward and the FBI is offering an $8,000 reward for information leading to the location of Cynthia and the conviction of the person responsible for her disappearance.

Keizer police told Dateline the investigation remains active and did not release any further details.
