''A "violent sex assault offender" accused of holding a kidnapped woman captive in a makeshift cinderblock cell in his Oregon garage may have other victims, the FBI said Wednesday.
Negasi Zuberi — a 29-year-old who goes by the aliases "Sakima," "Justin Hyche" and "Justin Kouassi" — was arrested July 16 after the woman escaped and was able to flag down help.

He has been linked to four violent sexual assaults in at least four states, officials said, without detailing the locations.
He's been charged with one count of interstate kidnapping.
Authorities honed in on Zuberi one day after he traveled from his Klamath Falls, Oregon, home to Seattle, Washington, where he solicited a prostitute and kidnapped her, the FBI’s Portland Field Office said in a news release Wednesday.
He posed as an undercover police officer, flashing a badge, pointing a Taser, and placing the woman in handcuffs, before putting her into the backseat of his car, according to the criminal complaint.
“He then traveled roughly 450 miles with the woman, sexually assaulting her during the trip,” the FBI release said.
Once at his home, he put her into a makeshift cell he constructed in his garage of cinderblocks with a metal door that couldn’t be opened from the inside, officials said. '''

''Zuberi has lived in 12 states — California, Washington, Oregon, Colorado, Utah, Florida, New York, New Jersey, Michigan, Illinois, Alabama and Nevada — over the last decade, the FBI said. Officials said that he may have used several methods to target victims, including drugging drinks and impersonating a police officer.

The FBI launched an investigation website where potential victims or others with information related to the case can fill out a form to offer more information.

"Some of the encounters may have been filmed to make it appear as if the assault was consensual," the page noted. "The victims are threatened with retaliation if they notify the police."

''The woman broke down the door of the cell when Mr Zuberi was away from the house and managed to escape and flagged down a driver who then called 911.

Mr Zuberi fled after the woman managed to get away. He was detained in Reno – more than four hours from Klamath Falls.''

''Seeking Information in Negasi Zuberi (Sakima) Investigation

The FBI’s Portland Division is seeking to identify potential victims of Negasi Zuberi (Sakima), a.k.a. Justin Hyche and Justin Kouassi, who was recently charged with interstate kidnapping in the District of Oregon.
The FBI's investigation has extended to multiple states where Zuberi has previously resided between August 2016 and today. Those states could include: California, Washington, Oregon, Colorado, Utah, Florida, New York, New Jersey, Alabama, and Nevada.
Sakima has several different methods to gain control of his victims, including drugging their drinks, pretending to be a police officer, and soliciting the services of sex workers and then violently sexually assaulting them. Some of the encounters may have been filmed to make it appear as if the assault was consensual. The victims are threatened with retaliation if they notify the police.
If you and/or your minor dependent(s) were victimized by Negasi Zuberi (Sakima) or have information relevant to this investigation, please fill out this short form.
If you know of someone else who has possibly been victimized by Negasi Zuberi (Sakima), please encourage them to complete the form themselves.
The FBI is legally mandated to identify victims of federal crimes it investigates. Victims may be eligible for certain services, restitution, and rights under federal and/or state law. Your responses are voluntary but may be useful in the federal investigation and to identify you as a potential victim. Based on the responses provided, you may be contacted by the FBI and asked to provide additional information. All identities of victims will be kept confidential.''

Guess we have to wait on updates from investigation but I’m curious if this was a separate home from his wife and child. These abusers never take into account the risk and damage associated with their criminal violent behavior. Such a horrible situation with child being involved as LE attempted to take him into custody. His actions of kidnapping and assault on woman was just horrific and him putting his child in harms way IMO tells me he’s a selfish coward. I’m sure there’s a technical term related to a potential mental disorder like a sociopath or psychopath but that’s outside my expertise, my experience is limited to narcissistic behavior. Praying for the victims.

Where was he before 2016?

I heard about this on CNN! What do you bet he was in Reno, looking for a new victim?

I have a feeling there's going to be a lot more horrible things discovered about this guy.

APOLOGIES, please note that this particular FBI link within the article is not functioning /page not found, valid link to FBI in separate post just upthread.

Considering he targeted prostitutes, I would sadly speculate that the majority of his victims were never reported missing or were not taken seriously by police. Add in the fact that he travelled across two states to abduct a woman and he could have gone anywhere.

It could help narrow down the investigation if we knew what dates he lived in those areas and what the women he went after looked like.

''According to the FBI, Zuberi has lived in Oregon for several months and nine other states since August 2016 -- Washington, California, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, New York, New Jersey, Alabama and Florida.
In the two weeks since his arrest, investigators have tied the suspect to at least four sexual assaults in four other states, according to Shark, who did not provide any additional details on the cases due to the active investigation.

"There is escalation of violence and intent, and so we are concerned that if we work backwards we're gonna find unfortunately numerous victims," Shark said.

Zuberi is also known as Sakima, Justin Hyche and Justin Kouassi, the FBI said. Investigators believe he may have used several different methods to allegedly gain control of his victims, including drugging their drinks and impersonating a law enforcement officer, Shark said.''

What? Yet another one keeping up the image of being a normal person while also needing to enslave and abuse women?
I know, my heart goes out to any wife or significant other who wakes up one day and finds their entire world has been turned upside down, I can’t even imagine especially when there’s children involved. Just horrible to learn of the evil your husband has done to innocent victims. I pray they have resources for counseling to better support and protect their children from their father’s evil.

It’s troubling to know of other victims and horrifying to think there’s possibly even more victims yet to be identified. His behavior was definitely escalating, as terrible as the experience was for the woman who escaped she’s so blessed to be alive- her determination saved her.

''Police also found several handwritten notes, including one that had a drawing of how to dig a 100-foot deep concrete block cell with foam insulation, according to the affidavit. One note had a heading that read “Operation Take Over” and described plans to “leave phone at home” and “make sure they don’t have a bunch” of people in their life, it said. It ended, “You dont want any type of investigation,” according to a photo of the note in the affidavit.''

''In some of the other cases, Zuberi posed as an undercover officer or solicited the services of sex workers and then violently sexually assaulted women, according to the FBI. Some of the encounters may have been filmed to make it appear as if the assault was consensual, and often the victims were threatened with retaliation if they were to notify the police, according to investigators.

A LinkedIn page under one of his aliases Sakima Zuberi , accompanied by his photo, says he was studying cybersecurity at Klamath Community College since April of this year. It also says he was self-employed for a New Mexico-based company Forty3Organization, which provides housing rentals. Records also show he had lived in Vancouver, Wash., last year.''

Guess he thought he was invincible but the woman who took his gun and escaped showed him otherwise.

There's an awful lot of what appears to me to be red stains on the concrete floor of the cell :(
Some of the articles describe finding evidence of her pounding on the door so hard her hands and knuckles bled while attempting to escape, she also had to crawl through a screened in portion of the door further cutting herself.

The poor wife and child. :(

Zuberi was located by Nevada state police in a Walmart parking lot in Reno, Nevada, on the afternoon of July 16 with his wife and child, according to the complaint. He was taken into custody after a 45-minute standoff, Shark said.
