Paul Jason Shuart was waiting with his mother for a Portland-bound bus when he began acting confused and wandered away from the station, authorities said. Shuart's mother last saw him walking toward Interstate 84 as she called police for help, said Gregg Hastings, state police spokesman.
According to the man's mother, Shuart takes medication for a medical condition that could leave him in a catatonic state and he may suffer seizures that cause him to pass out...
He is about 6 feet tall and 300 pounds with brown hair with some grey highlights and a moustache with a chin beard. He also has a small scar over his right eye and small red birthmark on the back of his neck. He disappeared in a blue Detroit Lions cap, a grey and white winter jacket, grey sweat pants with mud on the lower legs, and Columbia Sportswear hiking boots.

Police assert Shuart may have been picked up by a motorist traveling east, according to an April 25 Oregon State Police press release.
"This is my worst nightmare. Of course my son is a full-grown man, but I worry. My son has seizures. I don't think he's in any condition to take his medication," Diane Shuart said.
Paul Shuart left with his medication, Diane Shuart said, and he had disappeared once before following a seizure episode.
