THE DALLES, Ore. - The Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS), Child Welfare Division, asks the public to help find Scotlyne West, 16, a child in foster care who went missing from The Dalles on June 3.

She is believed to be in danger, ODHS says.

West was last seen in Salem but may be trying to travel to eastern Oregon.

She is five feet four inches tall, 150 pounds, with dyed blond hair, blue eyes, glasses, and several tattoos. One of her tattoos is on her right upper arm of a bull skull.

Just to clarify something... Salem is two hours WEST of The Dalles via the typical driving route.

It's interesting that she left The Dalles and went west to Salem, but they believe she may be headed to eastern Oregon... which implies a three or more hour drive back east.

She's obviously with someone with a vehicle. Public transportation doesn't do this route in any reasonable way a teenager could access easily (or unnoticed). It'd be an (expensive) challenge for me to attempt it, and I'm likely much more familiar with local transportation options. And rideshare would be an even prettier penny.
