That is not my experience with my friends who are realtors. They tend to believe the market will never crash, or that their particular markets are different. It's very human. But obviously I know nothing about this woman. JMO

No worries! Some of my realtor friends are pretty anxious, for sure. It's no fun having to tell a homeowner that they need to cut the price, when not long ago, there were at least 5 offers on every house. And it's not fun for them on the buy side either because people are unaccustomed to interest rates as high as they are. I don't know if that was also impacting Tammy, or if her market has changed considerably, but it might have been a stressor. JMO

I wonder if Tammy was a frequent traveler or took an occasional weekend getaway? Did she enjoy hiking or any other outdoor related hobbies? She was last seen on a Friday, but no mention of when anyone last talked to her. Wonder if anyone talked to her after the 14th?

It seems there was a 2 week wait between last seen and reported missing. I wonder if she had plans to be away for a while and that caused the delay? With markets cooling off after being insane for years, maybe an ideal time for a vacation?

That would be a REALLY bad time for a vacation. "Weather has come in" in the PNW. That means virtually constant cold rain.

I can see getting on I-5 and simply heading north to clear my head, and just keeping going. I actually don't see anything strange in this case.

The abandoned vehicle is what is most concerning to me. It was found in the middle of nowhere, i.e. not near a park or trailhead almost 3 weeks ago. Even if she left to just clear her head, it is still concerning that she has been missing so long and has no vehicle or place to stay. As you say, the weather is bad. Where is she staying? How is she feeding herself and her dogs?

We have a 54 year old woman who has been missing for a month. Her friends and family don't know where she is. LE have found no trace of her existance since Oct 17. She is actively engaged in the local community, participating in Chamber of Commerce events, actively involved in a local charity, etc.

It very well might be. Unfortunately. And I slightly lean to this as well.
But it's also possible it isn't. She could have met foul play.
And there's a remote but real possibility that she ran off for a new life.
I just don't believe she's chilling it in the woods. That doesn't make sense to me.

We owe Tammy and her loved ones an answer.

Tammy loved dogs. She was very active in the local dog rescue.
Would she take her dogs off to the woods to kill them or to leave them to fend for themselves if she planned self-harm?

I don't think we should just brush possible foul play off in this case.

Agree. If she were contemplating self harm I think she would have made sure her dogs were ok. Maybe she did…

Agree all options should still be considered.

I am local to the area her car was found and just found out about it a week ago. I joined the fb page created for her and her family last night asked that the page be taken down.
According to posts shared a month ago she was last seen in Albany OR on a camera in a parking lot walking her dogs alone. Her car was a 2023 Silver Camry; found with her belongings inside. Area searched around the car and SAR didn’t pick up anything. Phone not located and was shut off. These social media posts may/may not be 100% accurate but this is what is stated. She had filed divorce papers per court records.

I'm guessing it's something like this. Athena Strand went missing 17.5 hours ago and there are already at least 3 FB groups for her run by complete strangers. One already has 1100 members. These groups are run by people who profit off of missing people or at least feed on the drama the groups churn. It's an ugly phenomenon.

the site was run by her friend with participation by her family. Hard to speculate.
