I wonder if this means the Sentencing Hearing on July 6th is being postponed?
I'm not familiar with Court Documents - who filed this motion?

I've been looking into this and can't find out if the prosecution or defense submitted it. When we look at the Tammi Peters Smith "Background" thread we see that she has another lawsuit in the works, IDK if this postponement is because of that. I will post the link I have about Continuance Motions and the grounds for them if anybody wants to see if they can figure out what defense would be trying to gain by this...IDK.

As we see, this is one of the motions most "frequently denied".
Here's another thing I find interesting, since it seems this has been done more or less at the last minute:
Another rule that frequently bears on the filing of a motion to continue is A.A.C. R2-19-106, which governs the filing of motions generally. This rule requires that all motions be filed with the Office of Administrative Hearings not later than fifteen days prior to the scheduled hearing date, unless good cause is shown for the untimely filing.
Kind of seems like a "Hail Mary" move to me, but IDK.......:notgood:
