Court documents reveal more information about deaths of 2 teens in Schuylkill

In unsealed search warrants, a witness says he was partying with the two victims and another man when the man pulled out a gun and opened fire.

According to an unsealed search warrant, Mock and Caraballo were partying in a wooded area called the Sanchez with two other men when one of them allegedly pulled out a gun and started shooting.

The other man says he ran for his life, swam through a pond, and went to a nearby home for help.

But according to court documents, the alleged shooter admitted to police when he tried to shoot Caraballo, the gun didn't work.

He says the other man shot Mock.

POTTSVILLE, Pa. -- A man accused of two murders in New Philadelphia, Schuylkill County, was back in front of a judge Wednesday.

The killings of 18-year-old Hunter Mock and 16-year-old Angelito Caraballo changed the lives of their families forever last October.

Wednesday's preliminary hearing for the man charged in their deaths, 19-year-old Lamour Branch, was emotional.

Branch is facing 22 charges, including first- and third-degree murder. All were affirmed by the judge, and Branch will continue to be held behind bars without bond.
