Not to be graphic but she could have been ejected on one side and the car continued on to the other side or farther along. Hoping that’s not the case and she’s found alive.

My thoughts too - it can be pretty violent when you're ejected and I hope they're checking the other side too (and that they're also looking up). Anyone know if they have had search dogs there yet?

Johnston's family confirmed that her car had been found in a post to the Bring Casey Home Facebook page. According to CBS3, a search party led by a private investigator found the car, a 2016 Ford Focus, while flying in a helicopter over a wooded area along Woodhaven Road on Saturday afternoon.

Photos tweeted by NBC10's Brandon Hudson on Sunday afternoon from Woodhaven Road shows Johnston's car on a tow truck with extensive damage; its front bumper is gone, and there's a large crack in the windshield on the passenger's side.

Thirteen days later in a post to Bring Casey Home, family members put a call out to anyone who was traveling along Interstate 95 between 5:15 a.m. and 7 a.m. on July 10 and "may have any information about Casey or remembers seeing something out of the ordinary." They also launched a *** page that helped them purchase a billboard on I-95 to bring awareness to the search.

"She is such a strong person, we have to try to be as strong as her to be able to keep fighting on her behalf," they wrote in the Facebook post. "Our family is overwhelmed with the amount of support from everyone. In the beginning it felt like we were on our feet in the city with no one to turn to, and now seeing everyone come together shows us we can get through this. We WILL find her."
Car belonging to missing Bucks County woman found in Philadelphia weeks after she disappeared

The 2016 Ford Focus was found Saturday near the city border with Bucks County. Law enforcement is now searching the area off the busy highway for Cassandra "Casey" Johnston, 26, who was last seen in the city's Chinatown section.

Lower Southampton Police Chief Ted Krimmel said a private aircraft spotted the car in the wooded area Saturday afternoon. He said the car was heavily damaged and was "pretty far off the road."

Just clarifying it’s bipolar disorder. Borderline personality disorder is something different.
Yeah I know its two totally different things - the article I read said "Bipolar Personality Disorder" but it could be a typo I have no idea, but that's how it was referred to didn't use the term borderline in it - but they could have just seen BPD and filled in the blanks on the acronym and made a mistake it was just local online news which isn't always reliable.

I just don't understand why/how Casey is missing, seemingly not even in the immediate area.

This! It may be dense with overgrown weeds and brush and small trees, but neither side of the exit is a large area. Definitely not a forest. If they had a dog in there last night and today, and didn't find her, I'm not positive she is there.

Also, not to be graphic, but after 3 weeks with the heat and humidity we've had, I would think you would be able to detect an odor. I've never smelled "that smell" so maybe I'm wrong.

Snipped for focus.

A large crack in the windshield? That's a big understatement.

The video of the car looks pretty rough... I don't know... where I grew up we saw some pretty bad accidents with ejections and such regularly and I hope that isn't what happened because finding someone after something like that can be a lot harder than one would even anticipate, those types of crashes can be so unpredictable and the results are usually just like devastating. Praying she is okay... but that car wreck looks scary...

<modsnip> I feel so terrible for the family man I was really hoping she was okay. I can recount so many times drinking and wandering off in college like so dangerous and not even thinking... a really sad situation like it could happen to anyone. Prayers go out to the family and to Casey - may she rest in peace. My heart hurts for everyone involved.
