Dec. 9, 12:08 p.m. - A large police presence has gathered at the Sellersville home of 55-year-old Elizabeth “Beth” Capaldi, who has been missing since Oct. 10.
Sources tell
North Penn Now that police vehicles were observed in front of and behind the home along the 200 block of High Street in Sellersville as of late Thursday evening. Then, around 11:30 a.m. Friday morning, additional police and county law enforcement vehicles arrived at the scene.
Rumors quickly spread Friday morning that 57-year-old Stephen Capaldi — Elizabeth’s husband — had been taken into custody at the Bucks County Correctional Facility.
North Penn Now has independently confirmed that information via a source with knowledge of the investigation.
No charges at this time have been filed. A search of the
Unified Judicial System shows no pending charges for Stephen Capaldi, and a representative with District Judge Regina Armitage’s court said they had no information on him.
Investigators typically have 24 hours to file charges once a person is taken into custody, otherwise they must be released.
