Bail was set Friday at $500,000 for a man who was spotted driving a car that belonged to a missing woman who is now presumed to be dead...

An autopsy on the remains was started Friday morning, but officials are still examining injuries to the remains and looking at dental records before an official identification is made, Perry County Coroner Michael Shalonis said Friday afternoon.

State police as of Friday had yet to release any information explaining how Lugo-Davila and Lara obtained Klinger's car.

My heart is just broken into a million pieces right now. The very first moment I looked at her face when this thread was posted, I could almost feel the sadness and the depression that her eyes were showing. For some reason she has affected me deeply. I try not to get too emotionally attached with the missing people we read about here, but every so often there will be one that I feel a connection to and Erica was one of them. I had read a lot of her posts on FB and she had gone through so much heartache. I pray you are at peace now, Erica. I pray you did not suffer during the last minutes of your life. Rest in peace, angel! I will not forget you!!!!

The news of Erica's death has affected me too. IMO, she'd had heartache and troubles, and she seemed sooo tired and sad as a result of efforts to stay strong, gutsy, and tough on the outside. Just heartbreaking. :frown:

Perry County's coroner confirmed Friday the body found earlier this week is that of Erica Klinger...

Shalonis said her body has been sent to Erie for further examination to determine the cause and manner of death.

A body found in Perry County this week is that of Erica Lynn Klinger, the 27-year-old Mechanicsburg woman who went missing nearly a month ago, the county coroner confirmed Friday.

Coroner Mike Shalonis said Klinger's body was positively identified through dental records.

An autopsy was performed at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown earlier in the day, but the cause and manner of death are pending.

Coroner Michael Shalonis said the autopsy, conducted Friday morning on the remains found Wednesday, confirmed the body was 27-year-old Klinger, who last was seen June 8 leaving the Kwik Fill gas station where she worked on Carlisle Pike in Silver Spring Township.

Shalonis said her body has been sent to Erie for further examination to determine the cause and manner of death. Her body was found near where Routes 11/15 meets Schoolhouse Road in Penn Township.

Would the DA really make a deal to allow someone immunity from homicide charges?
Perhaps the DA feels the other charges ML faces will keep her in jail a long while regardless of a homicide charge/conviction.

A preliminary hearing was continued Wednesday for the girlfriend of an East Shore man accused of murdering Erica Klinger.

The hearing for Maria Lara, 32, on charges of theft, hindering apprehension and possession of drug paraphernalia was rescheduled for Aug. 6 before District Judge Michael J. Smith.

Look at Elizabeth Marriott's thread. SM was convicted of first degree murder and his gf who was in the room when he strangled Lizzie received immunity. She is serving I believe only 18 mons to 3 years.
