I wonder how they came into contact with their victims?

Also find it telling that she was convicted of the death of one man she held prisoner, then she gets out of prison and does it again.

I also wonder why they left the other states? And these weren't small moves either. States away. Why would you take your prisoners and move so much? Unless maybe you feared someone would begin looking for you for some reasons.

50 ID's? That is going to be interesting. I wonder what type of ID's? The perps could have gotten new ids each time they moved to hide the fact that they had lived in the other states. But that is way too many ids for that IMO.

This woman stayed around 33rd and Berks when she starved that poor man to death? Anything and everything is possible. Sadly that area got really, really bad.

Not connected to the crime, but just a little snippet about Strawberry Mansion. They are always striving to overcome so many of society's tragedies.

Put it this way I wouldn't tangle with her.

4 Chained In Phila. Basement Linked To Fla. Home

Geez...what lowlifes.. sigh

Meanwhile the neighbors in West Palm Beach let us know how they saw these poor people including children battered and bruised.

They tell us how shots often rang out from the house. Syringes littered the lawn and the perps made the women and girls fight eachother.

Hey Lord only knows what goes on in that neighborhood but a little anonymous call to cops might have helped.

Detectives in Philadelphia have confirmed 15-year-old B. R. has been found and is now in police custody.
EARLIER STORY:
A West Palm Beach mother whose teenage daughter disappeared months ago has learned the last person to see her daughter is the son of Gregory Thomas Senior.

I saw that this morning. Now GMA is saying she was kidnapped. Was she kidnapped or a runaway? I was looking for her here but cannot find her name (Benita Rodriguez).

I saw part of that story and also wondered what was going on. It sounded like they had just found her and that she may have been chained to the boiler too. That doesn't even make sense. Did they find the four individuals, go back later to inspect the area and then discover this missing girl?

I too have been wondering how they came to "bump into" their victims. Betting they befriended them at some sort of support agency.

If reports are true, then Weston starved the man in 81 was tried, convicted, served time, released and then not too long after release hooked up with the person who has been described as being captive for 11 years.

The 50 names, Identities concerns me. They may have been simply identities stolen but how do we know if some of those identities don't belong to people who didn't survive captivity?

Would be interesting to track where these perps lived and look at unidentified bodies in the area.

Fox news article today says that at least one of the male victims met Weston through an online dating service.

The woman found in the basement was identified by myFOXphilly.com as 29-year-old Tamara Breeden. Two other victims were Derwin McLemire and Herbert Knowles. They have not yet identified the 4th.

One of four adults held up in basement

PHILADELPHIA (CNN/WAVY) - Tamara Breeden, Derwin McLemire and Herbert Knowles, three of the four victims held captive inside a northeast Philadelphia home basement with no food, spoke about the horror they experienced.

50-year-old Linda Weston, a convicted killer, was arrested for kidnapping and assaulting four mentally disabled adults.

Police say the four were manipulated by Weston, who, they claim, took their social security information to collect their checks.

Family of man found in basement speaks
Knowles was missing for three years

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - October 17 was the day a Norfolk family had longed to have for many years.

Herbert Knowles went missing three years ago. "One day he didn't come home and it was unlike him," Tiffany Davis, Knowles' niece, said. "He would come here everyday to eat. He would talk to my grandmother and if he didn't come he always called."

On Monday, his family found out where he had been all those years, but the details about his disappearance were horrifying. Knowles, 40, was one of the four disabled adults found locked in the sub-basement of a Philadelphia apartment.

IMO They should be charged with Crimes Against Humanity as well and NEVER set foot outside of a cell again.

They are saying the 15 yr old may have been another victim of this group? If they find all of the other victims whose documents they have found...alive, I will be very much surprised. If there are any still held captive, I pray they find them SOON!

Went to many concerts at the Mann in Fairmont Park over the years and did a walking tour of Strawberry Mansion and the others back in the 90's. It was a glorious and pristine place to live in the first century of our country...and filled with so much history. So sad it is the on the fringes of so much despair now.

Where are these children NOW? What a sick, parasitic, worthless trio.

Reports: 15-year-old found safe, linked to Pa. 'dungeon' case

PHILADELPHIA — A missing Florida girl has been found safe in Philadelphia in the wake of the arrest of three people who allegedly held mentally disabled adults captive in a basement.

Benita Rodriguez, 15, was reported missing from her West Palm Beach, Fla., home on July 4, NBC Philadelphia affiliate WCAU reported.

She may be safe, but I'm sure she'll never be the same again... :(

THE WOMAN who police say masterminded the imprisonment of four mentally disabled adults in a squalid Northeast Philadelphia basement so she could cash in on their Social Security disability checks may have perpetrated similar scams in Texas, Florida and Virginia.

When Linda Ann Weston lived in Norfolk, Va., in 2008, "one of the people she was taking care of died," an ex-boyfriend of Weston's said yesterday.

That article isn't clear. Is the 15 year old thought to be a runaway or was she kidnapped?
