On November 3, 2016. Detective Pettinato recovered a typed letter which
was found among Grace Packer's Abington School records and noted as being
recovered in March 2016. The letter was typed and addressed to her family and
discussed her being "sorry" for a burden and leaving the family. The letter
included a typed closing "Sincerely, Grace" with no Written signature.
Investigators have reviewed this letter and determined the language and
content to be inconsistent with being written by a 14 year old with the
academic and social skill level of Grace Packer.

The letter is weird, as if anything in this case is normal. How did it get into Grace's school records? Did the school even read it? Did Sara request it be put in Grace's school records? If LE was able to tell it was not written by Grace, why was the school not suspicious?

If a school counselor reached out to Sara Packer about it and Sara Packer produced some sort of "evidence" that Grace was contemplating running off. Some sort of attempt to convince the school or counselor that the problem was a "stubborn" "troublesome" teenager. Nothing to see here.

Total specualtion, trying to figure out how such a letter, that is not believed to have been written by Grace, would have ended up in the school file.

I've just caught up and I believe there are 2 male minors that need to be interviewed - if I am understanding correctly - and at this point I'm not sure I understand anything other than a beautiful teenager's life being snuffed out by very deviant things.

Did the girl friend not know about this? I wonder. If she did I hope she spends the rest of her life in jail.

He had attacked Grace before, according to MSM. I assume Sara knew. Did the girlfriend?

The girlfriend stayed with them even after they were arrested? I just don't understand.

The good news is the girlfriend saved both of their miserable lives by getting them help. If the girlfriend has children, I hope they are interviewed and safe from any further harm (even if the pervious harm is just that they lived with and were exposed to these raping, murdering monsters). Thanks to her, there will be justice.

I agree. This was a red flag that should have prompted follow up and may have. Perhaps that is why Grace lived until July. There may have been too much attention on Grace in March via a school full of mandated reporters.

Grace was sent away to NC for school from Jan 2015 to Nov 2015.
I wonder if her "mother" told school officials in PA that Grace had run away from home in 2015 and provided that fake letter in March 2016 as "evidence" of that claim?

Why was Grace living at a relative in NC, for how long and why? Was it because the adoptive father was arrested? Why was she returned back to SP, was it because SP needed the money given for her disability? What kind of disability did Grace have? I think it was Ticya who posted something about they were able to identify her remains from dental records and a medical implant.


According to the criminal complaint, Sullivan told investigators he and Packer had planned to kill Grace since fall 2015, when she returned from living with a relative in North Carolina.

Police also learned Sara Packer had been receiving $712 monthly for care and custody of Grace, and that on Aug. 22, Sara completed a Continuing Disability Review Report related to Grace, never disclosing the girl's disappearance.

So let me get this straight...Grace Packer was born into a possibly life-threatening or at the very least, abusive situation (I'm inferring this from the fact that Grace was taken away from them, though I'm not even sure if the father was a present figure at the time) then was adopted by a couple, one of whom is the convicted rapist of a nine year old and the other the architect, co-conspirator, and witness of Grace's year-in-the-making rape, murder, and dismemberment. My God, this is beyond sad. I think I'm going to cry now.

I have a LOT of words, but none that can be repeated in polite company. My blood has been BOILING since I read of this case. I hope the perps spend life in the general population, where child molesters and abusers are reviled.

PA's version of a life sentence means "life without parole", so if they are convicted, they can look forward to never setting foot outside a prison again. Which is exactly what's deserved.

Exactly. I always say that I don't care what happens between consenting adults. But it must pass both of those tests: "consenting" and "adults". Once either of those requirements isn't met, it's a crime and it's time to get the police involved.

I hope she had no idea what was going on, but if she did, she deserves jail time. Maybe she'll be able to plea bargain with the fact that she's the one who stopped these two parasites from dying, and therefore they will be able to be prosecuted. Plus, maybe she'll have other information she can use as a bargaining chip with the cops (if she knew something was going on and kept quiet at the time).

I'm grateful for the officer(s) who kept up with Grace's missing persons case. It was too late for poor Grace by the time it was reported but at least the diligent work by these officers will ensure a solid case against these monsters.

I read that earlier today and just could not comment. These "adults" in her life were just freaking monsters. No two ways about it. I can only hope at this point, her bio brother is being interviewed and **legitimately** in a safe place.
