WILLIAMSPORT – The mother of one of the two women accused of intentionally starving to death and physically abusing two young Lycoming County sisters has been made eligible for intensive supervised bail.

County Judge Nancy L. Butts on Tuesday approved the defense request for Michele L. Butler, 49, who has been in prison more than a year on charges that include third-degree murder.

The judge set bail at $95,000 but said Butler would not have to post it if approved for intensive supervised bail, a condition of which would be daily reporting.

District Attorney Ryan C. Gardner said he did not oppose Butler’s potential release because she has been cooperating and plans to plead guilty.

If she is released, she may not have contact with any of the defendants including her husband Ronald. She will need to undergo mental health behavior drug and alcohol assessments, the judge ordered.

I think you answered your own question, Niner. But here's another article. :)

DEC 21, 2022
Michele Butler, accused of having a role in the starving deaths of sisters Nicole, 6, and Jasmine Snyder, 4, in Lycoming County in November of 2021, was released on $95,000 unsecured bail this week.

[...]

Butler’s lawyer, Edward Rymsza, argued several points in favor of her release. According to the motion to set reasonable bail, he listed her age (49), no prior criminal history, she is a lifelong resident of Lycoming County with "lifetime ties" to the area, and she is not a flight risk.

[...]

Ronald Butler, Michele's husband, was released on nominal bail Sept. 27. His release conditions state that he is to have no contact with children under the age of 18, no contact with co-defendants in the case; he must wear an ankle monitor, and have daily contact with his supervised bail officer.

WILLIAMSPORT – The father of one of the two women accused of intentionally starving to death and physically abusing two young Lycoming County sisters will proceed to trial.

Judge Nancy L. Butts Monday denied a defense motion to dismiss charges of endangering the welfare of children and obstruction of justice against Ronald R. Butler, 54.
[.....]
In her opinion, Butts wrote Ronald Butler knew the girls were mistreated and allowed his daughter and Snyder to torture them. They lived together in the trailer home.

Butler knew Nicole and Jasmine were in danger because he had told a friend he tried to sneak crackers to them, the judge found.
[.....]
Ronald Butler’s failure to get the girls substantial help meets one of the tests for the endangering charge, Butts said.

As for the obstruction charge, Butts cited Butler falsely telling an investigator the girls “were with a friend and they were fine” and initially saying they never lived with him.

and no next hearing date...

A second Lycoming County woman has admitted subjecting two young sisters to the repeated abuse and starvation that led to their deaths.

Echo Lane Butler, 27, showed no emotion Friday when she pleaded guilty to two counts of conspiracy to commit first-degree murder.

In response to a question from county Judge Nancy L. Butts, she admitted not providing sufficient food to keep Nicole Elisabeth, 6, and Jasmine Jean Snyder, 4, healthy and that such treatment led to their deaths.

Butts sentenced Butler in accordance with a plea agreement to two consecutive life terms without the possibility of parole.
