WILLIAMSPORT – The mother accused in the intentional starvation deaths of her two young daughters has agreed to plead guilty to first-degree murder and continue to cooperate in the prosecution of co-defendants.
Marie Sue Snyder, 32, is scheduled to plead Oct. 31 to two counts of first-degree murder and be sentenced to consecutive life sentences, her attorney, chief public defender Nicole Spring, said Wednesday.
The plea also encompasses a second case in which she is charged with making false statements and theft by deception, Spring said.

Snyder is accused of illegally obtaining $48,703 in medical assistance and $21,163 in supplemental nutrition assistant program benefits after her daughters were dead.
[.....]
The guilty plea announcement came a day after Lycoming County District Attorney Ryan C. Gardner filed notices of aggravating circumstances required for him to pursue the death penalty against the women.
Those notices had to be filed before their court arraignments scheduled Monday. Gardner explained if he had not done so for Snyder and she decided not to plead he would have been unable to seek the death penalty if she was found guilty at a trial.

Butler’s mother, Michele Butler, 47, is scheduled to plead guilty Dec. 5. She is charged with third-degree murder, endangering the welfare of children, obstruction in child abuse cases, abuse of corpse, concealing the death of child and tampering with evidence.
[.....]
The three women are jailed without bail. Ronald Butler was released Sept. 28 on nominal bail because he was not brought to trial within 180 days as is required for an incarcerated individual.
I had Michele Butler scheduled on 10/14/22 - looks like that date was moved.
