Channel 11's Joe Holden reports that police are telling residents between Wilpen and New Florence to lock their doors as a manhunt continues to find the shooter.

A police officer in New Florence, Pa., was shot and killed while responding to a domestic call Saturday night by a suspect who fled into the woods, according to local reports.

The suspect is a white male in his 20s.

Sources tell 6 News an officer was responding to a domestic dispute at a house on the 100 block of Ligonier Street in New Florence. Those sources said the officer was shot and found in the yard of a burning house.

A suspect was spotted running away from the scene, and state police have been called to the area.
The suspect is described as a white man in his 20s with blonde hair, according to our news-exchange partners at the Trib.

Initial reports said the shooter was possibly headed toward Bolivar, which is near New Florence.
He was later seen on Creek Road near Beauford.

I'm so worried about all the LE looking for this guy. He's obviously armed and dangerous! Praying we get word they've got him in custody soon!
