Honestly, it looked to me like she moved over to talk to Nurmi. Not to say she wasn't ignoring JA, but that's what it seemed to me.

I truly believe there's nothing that can save JA's life now. No mitigation could be enough. This jury will sentence her to death and she earned her way there. When this trial started I gave her a 50/50 chance. Now I think it's 97% chance of the DP and I might be on the low side.

I do believe in the DP so her getting it doesn't upset me one bit. I don't think it applies in every murder case and I'm not a bloodthirsty person, but it exists for a reason and some defendants earn their way into the death chamber. JA, with her words as well as her deeds, has done exactly that IMO.

I agree. I gave her a chance and in middle of trial when she took stand and started spewing, that was it. She is going to get DP because of her own words and how she continues to trash the victim and his family with her lies.

She has never backed down with her lies and she has never apologized for what she did to him or even feels sorry about it. So jury will act accordingly.

Thank you for finding it! I couldn't believe how JW recoiled from the convicted killer, when it happened. Looks like an iceberg floated in on the defense side. Even the mitigation specialist didn't coddle CMJA today. BRRRR...it's cold over there. That's what happens when you don't listen to your attorneys advice!!

Seeing the convicted killer, with her greasy hair, sitting there all alone, with nobody giving a darn about her or her feelings, is exactly what she needs to get used to. The convicted killer has a lifetime of this to come. She has earned it.

Before this is over, I wanted to thank the lawyers on the board who took time to answer legal questions on the legal thread and on this board. I am not a criminal lawyer or a lawyer in Arizona. As a result, I often waited to comment, if at all, until after those who had more experience in Arizona and/or criminal courts had commented. While I know more about criminal law than the average person, I am very aware that Arizona does some things differently (such as jury questions) and that criminal law has its own nuances. They each did a great job and I appreciate their insights very much. It makes me proud of the good guys of our profession!

Speculation on HLN that the DT has washed their hands of her because she's going against their advice, playing uo abuse, nixing mom to do so, and will be making her statement about herself as a DV survivor and the good she can do other survivors. Exactly what we were guessing last night, and I still think its right.

DT is probably telling judge as we speak---we advised against this way to go, what comes next is on her.

Somebody should call JC out on her questionable reporting. She's always the "odd woman out" with every other reporter giving consistent and accurate reports.
She can't get the most simple details right, she shouldn't be tweeting and giving the public information. Still can't figure out how she has a job.

It's so strange that she gets it wrong too? Every time the camera pans to her in the courtroom, she's observing the juror's, Jodi, Jodi's Mom.. everywhere! Other reporters are all looking down except ole' Jean looking around like a hawk - How in the world are her observations so different from everyone else's?
