I think it is just misinterpretation from bad translation on question 6 of Joran's confession.

Both names were mentioned and the word lives was in the translation so perhaps it went from there? :waitasec:

I am not seeing it that way. He is just dealing with Nancy's ridiculous questions about being a friend of Joran's knowing Joran killed Stephany. Mr. Ludwick knew Joran before he killed Stephany.


ETA: His facial expression stayed the same until Nancy stated: "another can of worms", then he chuckled.

I agree we shouldn't tar and feather Lucwick for his choice of friends.

But given the many accounts from various sources of how JVS regularly talked about women, I'm suspicious of anyone who chose to "hang" with him for very long. "Nice guy" (Ludwick's words), my a$$!

I'm thinking this is another translation error. It seem EG was staying at the same hotel as Joran. Somehow the wording ended up indicating that SF had a roommate. Actually EG was not JVS's roommate either - just someone he met at his hotel. Could this be the explanation?

Thank you Lauri for the link.....it's very interesting that the mother can't come to Peru
but I heard that since the father passed.....they have no money at all. One would think that their friends in Aruba would help her out with air fare to be with Joran.

Also this......am I loosing it or does Joran speak Spanish? I heard him answering questiong put to him by the officials and he answered them in Spanish.

I heard him answer in Spanish, too. Aruba is very close to Spanish-speaking countries on the S.A. mainland. And isn't the Aruban dialect called "Papimiento" (IIRC) a pigeon mix of Spanish and Dutch?

It wouldn't surprise me if Spanish is commonly taught in Aruban schools.

Sorry, I haven't heard much about JVS's childhood but there's evidence he was a pampered/over indulged teenager.

Another ?, when Joran walked out of the rm with the coffee & pretended to be knocking as we see on video...and he walked away, did he not get someone to open the door for him?

Everytime I see that clip, I didn't hear the outcome of it. Which obviously, no one did open & actually see her.

His face shows that he just did something awful & now what do I do.

Surely Peru will not release this boy back to Aruba, for they may set him free...again.

Alejandro Trujillo has been in the news a lot since last year as this is another complicated murder case. To make the story short, he is the "suspected" assassin of Myriam Fefer and the intellectual authors of the murder are suspected to be Myriam's daughter, Eva Bracamonte and her former partner, Liliana Castro (they are also being held in jail). I don't think that there's nearly as much animosity against Trujillo as there is towards Eva, but no one is really safe in prison.

I had to wait a few days since I registered to be able to post... I'm from Lima, and having this case in the news all the time makes me think about it a lot. I'm 21, I have some friends who went to school with Stephany. I live about 1 km from the Hotel...

There's been speculation on why Stephany went with VDS to the hotel, but what I find strange is what she did earlier in the day (it might be related to what motivated her to go with VDS). I tried looking for discussion on this in one of the threads but couldn't find anything specific. El Comercio mentions that in the afternoon she picked up her friend Carola and went with her to the Hotel Pacífico (why did she go to the hotel? this isn't the tourist kind of hotel... I think this is why there have been rumors that she was a lesbian before it was known that she didn't have sex with VDS).

Another friend met them and the three girls went to a pub in Barranco. Stephany took the girls home but dropped of first the one that lived in Chacarilla, close to her own home, and then the one that lives in San Isidro. I don't know how her friends would think that she wasn't going to the Casino after picking this route, it makes little sense otherwise... If she was thinking of going home she would've dropped of the San Isidro girl first...

I'll try to keep track of the VDS threads... Maybe I could also translate some articles.

Has anyone seen any information concerning an interview with Stephany Flores' roommate, Elton Garcia?

I am snipping this bit of text, from JVDS's "10 page confession":
"I arrived in Lima to participate in the international poker tournament, by plane from Aruba , from Bogotá, on May 14, 2010.

6. Do you know the person Elton Garcia and the person who lives Stephany Flores Tatiana Ramirez (21) was called? If yes, please indicate where and when you came to know and tell them about your relationship to them.

Elton-Garcia is a friend of mine. I met him two weeks ago to know the Atlantic City casinos in Lima . Stephany Flores, I have met in Atlantic City casinos, about May 27".

This is just a translation error. A better translation of the original Spanish is: "Do you know the person named Elton Garcia and the person who in life was called Stephany...?"

but since the accused are in prison for such a long time before they go to trial ..I guess they do not have have a Bondsman or Bail system there?
