I think I'm the guilty party here, Patty LOL. I questioned whether he had the injury prior to being taken to Peru. I wondered if it had anything to do with obtaining a confession. Sorry--just seems strange that it only showed up after he was taken back to Peru.

What are we trying to prove with the swollen hand before I start a search for photos?

Just when it shows itself. Begining with any time after the murder. You needn't look before then. Although if it shows up before, it would mean it was there before, so I take that back.

But any photos that show the left hand near the pointer finger knuckle and on top of the hand in that region would be deeply appreciated. This hand and knuckle may actually be the murder weapon in effect. As my posts earlier today stated, the one apparent photo indicates massive swelling. And that almost certainly means from punching a hard object--wall, bone etc. It just doesn't seem to be in other photos or videos, but so many are not clear.

Broke my knuckles numerous times--boards, walls (but not with full force!) They sure swell up within minutes, but I don't recall as bad as the one in the photo in question.

So thank you very very much, Patty G!!

I just came across this video.

At the 7:54 mark, you can clearly see his left hand. A little later he signs some documents with his right hand, so that must be his primary hand, even though he may be bi-dexterous.

Not really sure, Patty. It was brought up quite a while ago when some posters were commenting on how he didn't have any scratches or marks from being in a struggle. I posted a picture that looked like his hand *might* be swollen due to same.

From there it's gone in a number of directions. From whether he's been physically coerced into giving his confession, differences in the cropped photos, photoshopping, etc.

So, I don't know what we're trying to prove or disprove at this point, if anything.

It takes a little bit of time for swelling to come forward. Since Joran was only with Stephany for 3.25 hours, and if he killed her before or even after he got the coffee, the swelling wouldn't necessarily show up that quick.

Thank you Suzi!

Do you mean the pointer finger knuckle on his left hand?

So 2 things.

1. I thought he is righthanded?
2. That looks more like a permanently enlarged knuckle that most boxers and martial artists have. Rather than a swollen, red knuckle. But you are right an enlarged photo of the hand would be better.

Thank you again. Maybe we are getting somewhere.

On thread #7 of this series, post #144, panthera posted an enlarged photo of his knuckles. I'll try to post the link here:

I thought he hit her with his elbow?

Yes Joran said that, and I have written a lengthy hypothesis about that. BTW, much of that may still be true, about holding her up against the wall, etc.

But the blow may have been with his left hand--if the massive knuckle swelling is real and occurred during the murder.

And thus it would have been a punch and not an elbow that struck her in the face, and according to the COD that I posted earlier was perhaps caused by a powerful left hand punch that broke his own knuckle also because she was held against a concrete or other hard surface.

COD from Radaronline was 2-fold
1. Cranial and brain trauma
2. Cervical neck trauma. (Presumably "broken neck" in common vernacular.)

Jane is showing the casino video, of which, seems brighter then the online videos we have seen. The jeans that Stephany is wearing are "blue".

There was an earlier discussion of black pants and were did the blue jeans come from and they are blue all along.

I don't think I could capture the jeans showing them to be blue because as Stephany walks away from the casino table, her legs hit a brighter light and you can see they are blue.

On Screen: Expected to be charged with murder and simple robbery on Monday.

Oh I would have sworn we had been looking at a grey/faded black outfit before. You're right the clothes look blue now. Do you think the shirt is an 'off' blue like soft teal? In the foreground of the casino video there are several men wearing true blue shirts and the color blue shows true. Also I see the emblem/wording down the front of her shirt for the first time in the casino footage.

Aren't they charging him with simple robbery because they determined that he murdered her first and then robbed her as an afterthought. That's what I understood.

Jean may be wearing a gold/mustard color jacket today - it's an attractive jacket and looks nice on her. She always looks nice imo.

Believe said that probably would be the charge on Monday.

Did she(Jean) say anything about the smell? You know in general population it has to stink.

Also Jean was not allowed to go into the areas where a large crowd of prisoners was hanging out - they did make some areas off limits to her. The prisoners she did speak to looked clean and well groomed. One was wearing a knit hat of some kind and looked okay, another one looked like any guy - better than some Americans up at the mall!

Here's a video I posted earlier today. At the 1:10 mark, you can clearly see that she is wearing blue jeans.

I have Jean earmarked for the NG spot when NG implodes. She has such a great sense of style and is so elegant. I don't remember ever seeing her looking not so good.
