Did anyone else notice that in the credits following the program where Peter and Beth promise to meet at that location 5 years later ... there was the other woman with the crew walking on the beach ... Beth's personal coach.
According to this report, de Vries denies that the Castro Castro director was bribed or paid to allow Beth's interview with Joran. And, apparently, the prison director WAS the current prison warden. If he wasn't bribed, then why in the world would he have allowed this to happen?? Of course, one of the great things about this is that Joran didn't make a cent out of this. I wonder if Beth did?
"Alex Samame was warden of Peru's Castro Castro prison when the interview was done in his office. He has been suspended and is under investigation.
Joran van der Sloot's Peruvian lawyer says Samame threatened van der Sloot with solitary confinement if he didn't agree to the meeting with Beth Holloway.
Altez and others in Peru say the warden's office was a virtual recording studio with hidden cameras and microphones. Holloway accompanied de Vries and his Dutch television crew into the prison....which caused a huge controversy when it was made public."

Was there more than one video? I didn't see much of what you're saying.
There was no script and I didn't see Peter throwing any fits because Beth didn't follow his advice or that she went off script. Peter asked Beth what she was going to say and she said she didn't know, that when she gets face to face with him it will just come from a mother's heart which it sounded like it did, begging him just to tell her where her daughter is.
I didn't see where it was up to or not up to Joran to give Beth five minutes either, When they accidently ran into each other in the hallway, Joran told her to contact his lawyer. Can you point out where he said ok I'll give you five minutes? If it's true than Joran lied that he was threatened into seeing with Beth.
Can you also point out in the video exactly what was said when you say that Altez warned them not to do it and that there will be problems if the interview goes forward?

I don't think that is what Altez was saying when he said there was no interview. Altez, imo was the one not being truthful. He said joran refused to see Beth and that was it. MOO It's reaching to say he meant that since it was only five minutes it didn't make it a real interview.
MOO

AMSTERDAM - The discovery of a human mandible has brought new hope to Aruba in the Natalee Holloway investigation.
Justice lets examine the physical remains of the American teenager, who vanished in 2005 This weekend they are sent to the Dutch Forensic Institute (NFI) in the Netherlands, said a spokesman for the prosecution in Aruba last night.
The jaw was found Friday on the beach at the Phoenix Hotel, not beach at the Phoenix Hotel, not far from the Bubali Plas. This is one of the places that Joran van der Sloot pointed out in a confession, as he would have hidden her body.
In this radaronline article they state that Joran's attempt at having his confession thrown out was unsuccessful?
In preparation for his trial, a Peruvian judge, Carlos Cordova, has ordered still more psychological testing of the accused.
The Dutch national initially confessed to the murder but later unsuccessfully argued to have his confession thrown out.

Has this been determined or is that article mistaken?

So much fodder in this case which tends to obscure the important details- at least for me! I had to actually think about this.......
Anyways......the Defense was unsuccessful in having joran's confession thrown out. That was back in June by a Superior Court Judge.
http://www.aolnews.com/crime/articl...toss-joran-van-der-sloots-confession/19605835
The defense has appealed that ruling and that's where it is now - with this appellate panel. One out of 3 Judges said the confession should be thrown out but because they need all Judges to agree, a 4th Judge is now reviewing the appeal. Don't ask me how long this has been going on because I can't remember.
No matter, my heart goes out to Beth. How do you let go when you don't know? I understand, it's easy to find fault sitting at your computer, safely tucked away, but her pain is still so raw and she's just trying to find that middle ground to get him to at least help her bring her baby girl home. I would not wish that on anyone.
So while all this hoopla over the jaw bone that wasn't Natalee's was going on it looks like JVS's lawyer has also been busy with the press in Peru.
Seems he's presenting the option of JVS confessing to the murder of Stephany but denying that he stole her money or vehicle which could land him a cool six years in prison (with good behavior - heh) rather than twenty.

I'm not sure which thread to put this in so I flipped a coin.
Apparently the authorities just discovered the body of the girlfriend of a Dutch prisoner that he killed and buried in his cell in AUGUST.

Those Peruvian prisons really run a tight ship.
