my family was involved in a very high-profile crime case (our side=victim) a while ago and lifetime didn't offer us anything to make the movie they made. in fact, they did it against our will and without our cooperation. it was horrible, to say the least. they didn't end up using our real names though, maybe they would have had to pay us to use them, though we wouldn't have agreed to that either.
i wonder why they are offering her money if that isn't their usual policy, or if it has to do with wanting to use real info and not 'based on true story' stuff.
Lifetime did the same to my friend, Victoria P? was in the movie in the 80's, I think they troll the court house, they contacted my friends and she said NO................... and later they made a movie. Of course since she did not agree, names were changed, she was mad as he777777777, and she was told "TOUGH SH#####" but if she had a press agent and pursued this...she could have made millions.
