POI in Lindsey's Case

With this recent release of videos and news stories I notice that actual quotes from LE tend to stay right on message - message being that TH lied and that LE doesn't like being lied to. Undersheriff Rick Scott is doing a great job with that.

Also that it can be so easy to be confused by the various versions, since it is confusing, we aren't going to have all the info. One bit that tripped me up for example is the following, and now I keep it in mind:

He says Chief George Crumb of the McCleary Police Department then asked him to join in the search, which he did. But Chief Crumb now says he doesn't remember asking him to take part, Hartman says.

http://www.komonews.com/news/local/139031194.html

So that quote is from the reporter, in this case KOMO staff, about what they say TH says. That last part is important: KOMO is reporting that TH says Chief Crumb doesn't remember.

So far I've not seen an actual quote from Chief Crumb on this.

Looks to me like the main message from LE is: we are actively on the case, TH lied, we don't like being lied to, we take this very very seriously.

If he's the one who took Lindsey, I'm thinking he's worried now, he knows that his stories aren't lining up with what LE knows, he knows his alibi will eventually fall apart, he knows if they find Lindsey's body that there could possibly be something there that would lead back to him.
Was he careful enough? Did he drop anything? Did he leave anything behind that will connect him directly to Lindsey's body? Did he hide her good enough?
He has to be asking himself all of these questions now and it has to be eating him alive wanting go out and check to make sure. I hope he does, I really hope he goes to check on her and I hope the eyes of LE are upon him when he does.

Sounds like wishful thinking.

After this much time on radar, without an arrest - this guy's probably feeling pretty good.

Unfortunately, it doesn't sound like LE is even close.

KOMO reporter Keith Eldridge to Tim Hartman: "...and you don't know where Lindsey is..."

Hartman to Eldridge: "..ha ha, no, I don't..."

But he shakes his head yes. What does that mean? What does it mean to a body language expert?

Here's the tiny short clip from the longer vid-

Lindsey Baum -WA- :: Short Snippet: "No, I don't" video by crankycrankerson - Photobucket

I got a copy of the book Liespotting recently from public library and read it keeping in mind what I'd seen, sure made me think. The author's site does share some of the important basics http://liespotting.com/liespotting-basics/ - including the head doing the opposite motion of the words spoken.

Even if that man is innocent.. he still gives me the creeps.

I thought the same exact thing with TH and his nod. I was even showing my dad the clip. I think that was creepy and you are right on IMHO.

But why was she in his store if it was a jewelry store? And with a door that requires being buzzed in?

I don't know if it is the case with this guy's store, but we had a creepy store owner in my hometown, that kind of lured us kids into his jewelry store by selling toys and cheap kids watches and rings. He would put the stuff in the window and be very friendly when we came in. His store was by the school bus stop and we went there often just to pass the time while waiting.

But why was she in his store if it was a jewelry store? And with a door that requires being buzzed in?

MOO---Because she was a typical trusting 10 year old girl who liked pretty shiny things. She probably felt she could trust him (if he is the one who took her) because he was an ambulance driver/business owner.

I know at ten years old I loved going into the different shops in town and looking at all the stuff. I'm sure Lindsey was no different.

1)Is the photo taken above of the area where Lindsey and the neighborhood kids played?

2) Is there a little creek in that location or nearby and where?

3) Where is the area TH took Lindsey's mom to search?

I see the East Fork Wildcat Creek in this map

but cannot see it in aerials of the city..

The picture you posted is of an area that a drainage ditch type of thing runs through. I don't believe it had water in it when Lindsey went missing.

And the area they searched was behind the Simpson door plant which is the East Fork of Wildcat Creek.

Thanks AmandaReckonwith.

Who laughs and nods their head when asked a question like that? This is not a joke!

The main ditch that can be seen running through is Sam's Canal, nothing fancy, just looks like a ditch sometimes full of storm water, not developed, sometimes buried, sometimes swampy, sometimes with scruffy woods, some area is kept mowed.

Storm sewer water along with spring water end up in Sam's Canal and eventually Wildcat Creek.

The downtown area is built on what used to be a swamp, the water table is high still down there.

Go to this link and look at the picture of the original piece of paper with items seized. There is a button to enlarge it. It looks ilke they took numerous ropes from the garage/storage area, a Smith and Wesson 38 caliber gun, and I think one of them says "a piece of wall."

What do you think?

If you'd like to see the complete list of what was seized you can check out http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showthread.php?t=151940&page=4. I picked the paper work up in November and posted the complete list the other day.

After joining in the search for a while, Hartman says he returned home but couldn't sleep, so he went out searching again. It was then, at about 1 a.m., that he says he ran into Lindsey's mother, and says he drove her to a local creek where Lindsey sometimes went to play, in hopes they would find her there.

In the above underscored, where is the local creek that Tim drove Lindsey's mom to? Was it the area behind the Simpson door plant?
