I wonder what Sherre's position is these days? She claims she was with Mari when Hackett called. Mari claims Hackett told her Shannan was there and left with her driver. Mari claims thats the first time she ever heard Pak's name. Heres my question? How can this conversation take place with Pak at Hacketts side?
If the grass maintenance is performed on Ocean Parkway like on many roads, it is cut by an individual who is in an airconditioned commercial mower.
The operator is focused on listening to his 'tunes', watching that he does not roll down an embankment, wander into the roadway and not be crushed by a transport coming from behind. He is also watching carefully to not to run over large debris like tires, mufflers, gas tanks and other detritus.
Unless something is directly in his pathway he does not see much.

I feel like this has been discussed before (but I have no idea when nor which thread).
Windsor could be correct and the following info won't matter much but I'm posting it anyway.
I did a quick search and my take on it is... Generally speaking, it's the NYSDOT. It seems they and/or each county contract out the work (take open bids.) I also believe that records of accepted bids would likely public record. I could be wrong about all of this but here are some links.
TRANSPORTATION MAINTENANCE RESIDENCIES BY COUNTY
The Department of Transportation has 60 Transportation Maintenance Offices (also known as Residencies) in New York State. The crews within each office are responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and operation of the state roadways within their jurisdiction. Their work includes doing minor road or bridge repairs; removing snow; repairing and replacing signs; repairing guide rail; and, mowing grass.

I think the discussion about the lawn crew on Ocean Parkway potentially revolves around two concepts.
First question, is why nobody discovered the bodies sooner, or were they seen and not disclosed? From my previous post I think that it is not unusual that the bodies could have laid there for months with no passersby noticing. If I am not mistaken a number of the bodies were wrapped in burlap, which tends to negatively affect visibility after a while.
Second, could it possible that some employee working on Ocean Parkway is the LISK? He could keep an eye on his graveyard while doing his work duties. That is possible, but without any other evidence supporting that idea, it is hard to say it is worth pursuing.
On a side note, I started this thread to focus on Michael Pak and the people he interacted with the night Shannan Gilbert disappeared. I think it is important that this thread stay focused on MP, and his actions.
After all these years I believe he has information that has not been disclosed as of yet. He may have disclosed this information to Law Enforcement and they are preparing to lay charges. That is what I hope.
Unfortunately I believe at this point nobody is talking, LE is at a dead end, and a number people want this entire case just to go away.
So let us try and concetrate on MP and events of that night on this thread.
Any new information or knowledge about MP is always appreciated.

there are no lawn crews..thats all scrub brush..I used to surf gilgo beach n once crossed the road instead of using the tunnel to get from the parking lot to the beach. .it was horrible getting through and I never did that again

Hackett is a Dr. He would have addressed himself as such. Is this when Mari ( even for a NY minute) confused Hackett for Pak? After all, Pak addressed himself as a Dr. Did Pak inadvertently provide the material for this lawsuit?

We know for sure that Hackett called Mari, because he said so in writing.
Likely Pak also had conversations with Mari, as Pak was acquainted with Shannan, Mari's daughter and Pak was acquainted with Alex Cross, Shannan's boyfriend.
Pak claims he meet Dr. PCH allegedly for the first time, when Pak and Alex Cross returned to Oak Beach a day or two after Shannan disappeared to look for her.
If Pak's story is true, and the Cross and Pak did not knock on every door in Oak Beach, then they must have met Dr. PCH randomly. I personally find this incidental contact a little hard to accept.
If the 'web sleuthers' here, could determine if Dr. PCH; Pak and possibly Brewer (who we know was acquainted with Pak) knew each other and what was their prior relationship before Shannan disappeared, it would go a long way to either proving or disproving collusion between Pak and Dr. PCH.

I do not know John Ray, just checking the internet reviews his clients, either love him or hate him. He appears to be expensive.

I think John is a showman and desires publicity, and I can understand that some peers in the legal profession may find him disagreeable. However I am not sure he is in any way comparable to the current President.
Quite possibly his strategy in not questioning MP, might have to do with who has the money and assets. Dr. PCH has money and property, MP has little or none. Even if John Ray could convince the court that MP was responsible for Shannan's death, there would be no financial proceeds, not worth the effort.
Involving MP in the wrongful death case against Dr. PCH might just 'muddy the waters', and John Ray would not want that to happen.
Remember in a civil wrongful death case, the level of proof, evidence and testimony required to win is much less than in criminal court. I can understand why involving MP had no upside for John Ray.

Colletti said it was then that he noticed an Asian man in his 30s driving a black SUV. It was Michael Pak, Shannan's driver.
"I could see a car come and stopping, coming a little bit and stopping," he said.
Asked if he thought Shannan was afraid of the man in the SUV, Colletti
replied, "She was afraid of somebody."
Then, Colletti saw Shannan was hiding underneath the boat in his yard.
"All of a sudden, she took off, out from under the boat ... and Pak took off after her. And I yelled to him to stop. And he didn't and Pak followed her around that way," Coletti said.
At that point, Colletti called 911. It was now 5:21 am. Shannan ran towards the home of another Oak Beach resident, Barbara Brennan.
"We know she's alive 'cause she's banging on Mrs. Brennan's door ... and Mrs. Brennan calls 911," said Varrone.

She was running away from HIM. He had to silence her.
I wish Mary Moriarity would ask one of those damn SCPD people WHY they won't release the 9-1-1 tape. SCPD states Shannan died of natural causes, then release the tape.
Then they switch and say there is an active investigation.
The one with the answers is Pak. The one with the most to lose when the truth comes out is Pak.
