Nancy Grace's blog has some photos I didn't see in the other links, and bigger versions if needed.

I want to know what happened to her. She looks like she's about to cry.

Jeannette Kamahele looks like a classic victim of the Santa Rosa Hitchhiker Killer, who has never been caught. Now this person may be known to the police and/or convicted of other killings but in the circumstances, in that she was hitchhiking in an area where a killer was expected to be operating, I don't think there's overmuch reason to suspect Alcala.

Sure, he could be the Santa Rosa Hitchhiker Killer or responsible for any other series of crimes before his incaraceration where there isn't physical evidence, or evidence of his movements, but even if he were, it seems more likely that she was killed in that context, if you see what I mean.

As for Robin Graham, it seems most likely that she was killed by Bruce Davis, who was in the area, is an identified killer and drove a Corvette like the man seen with her. Alcala does resemble Davis and they are about the same age, so it's possible of course that the witness was mistaken and Graham could be an Alcala victim too.

I wonder if the police are able to analyze the paper the photos are printed on to figure out an approximate year the photo was taken? Ink and photo paper have changed quite often, so it seems it would help narrow it down as much as possible by year.

Also, Case File 587UFCA (with the purple bellbottoms) says that she was found with a long sleeve shirt, the one the the photo is short sleeved. Still seems worth looking into though.

There's part of a print/poster on the wall behind the woman in this photo. It says "Le Point Cardinal". I think it's an art gallery in Paris. It might be part of this artist's print:

Someone mentioned upthread (same link you have) that the poster was one that could be purchased retail. They're the kind you could buy at Pier 1 or poster stores back in the 70's. If you look at some of the other photos of women in what appears to be a room, perhaps his apartment, you can see an array of similar posters on the wall behind them. Since some of the women in these photos appear nude or at least topless, I'm assuming it would have to be an apartment or studio of some kind.

Just wanted to say how impressed I am with the potential matches already made here. Very impressive!! Also wanted to say that I sent an email asking investigators to look into some of the pictures that somewhat resemble one of the missing Lyon sisters who were abducted in 1975 from Maryland.

Now that we can enlarge the pic's (click on them again) on NG's site, I am observing more clues.

I think this one was taken in NYC or he brought back the poster on the wall. Celebrate Antiquity in Greenwich Village. The painting on the wall is from famous artist Amedeo Modigliani.
Martin Paints (box in background) Only one store and it was in Staten Island.

I keep coming back to this girl. Something about her looks so familiar. At first I thought of Amy Billig but I don't think that is a good match. Then I thought maybe Rose Cole but I don't think that is a great match either.

Does she strike a cord with anyone else?

I was 14 in 1979, and lived in Huntington Beach that year. Strange that I remember very little about Robin Samsoe, but teenagers live in a world of their own and think they are immortal, so I probably didn't think much about it...I looked at all of the pictures to see if there was anyone I knew. It's been said in this thread before, there were always lots of creepy guys with cameras hanging out at the beach.

Those are good points, Cymro. Of all your theories, IMHO it's most likely that someone might have been looking at a photo of the jeans with the belt still attached and didn't count all the snaps.

Sleuthster, those ropes from the ceiling are actually what appears to be a bright pink swing, complete with black electrical tape wrapped around the ropes. Surely somebody who had been at the apartment remembers that. So far in this apartment I'm seeing metal bars over the bottom part of the windows, some walls that are bright blue and others that are natural stone, and a mix of metal and wooden furniture.

The young male with brown hair on the blue background has a really awkward positioning of his shoulders. I made my hubby sit as if he had his hands tied behind his back at the wrists and then try to sit back or lie down and the natural reaction seems to be to lift the shoulders as if shrugging. Just an observation.

I thought that was a young girl on the blue background since they didn't show the chest area and the hair cut is one girls had around '77. The shoulders do look to be awkward. Some of those pics, especially the ones with the girls sitting in front of the stereo/album area look like they are very intense. Their eyes all have that same look as if they are being forced to pose. Very upsetting and so many pics.
