I hope he lied about the other murders, too . I cannot imagine how the family members of the grandfather who was murdered feel. They lost their father, and now their grandfather was murdered on FB live for all the world to see. Horrific! I hope they catch the killer before he can hurt anyone else.

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -
The Cleveland Police are investigating a homicide at 635 East 93rd Street. Police said the suspect did broadcast the killing on Facebook Live and has claimed to have committed multiple other homicides which are yet to be verified.

East 102 Street - East 108 Street in Cleveland is on lockdown. Cleveland Clinic is on stand by for mass casualties.

Suspect is in this case is Steve Stephens:

He is described as a black man
6'1" 244 lbs.
Bald with a full beard
Wearing a dark blue and grey or black striped polo shirt.
White or cream colored SUV.
He is considered armed and dangerous. If seen call 9-1-1, do not approach the suspect.

Police and EMS are swarming the Cleveland State area,take precautions and do not approach Stephens.

Where is this woman he's so angry about and her family? I hope she's aware and taking protective steps for herself and any family members who he may be able to get to. Not to mention any LE who try to approach him. No one is safe while he is on the loose. I hope the folks of Cleveland will take this seriously and be proactive.

Best concise summary I can find...I guess this is breaking quicker than they can write it:

-The incident happened on Sunday afternoon when Stephens began broadcasting live on Facebook, telling viewers that he was looking for someone to kill. A video shows him exiting his vehicle and walking up to a man, who is then shot and killed, seemingly at random.

-Stephens, who is 37, blamed his girlfriend for his actions and made his victim repeat the woman's name before shooting him. "She's the reason why this is about to happen to you," Stevens told the victim seconds before taking out a gun and shooting him.

-Stevens also told viewers that he had already killed multiple people, though police are still working to confirm whether that is true. His Facebook page has been deactivated and he is no longer broadcasting live online.

-Police in Cleveland have launched a massive manhunt for Stephens and several facilities in the area are on lockdown. Cleveland State University has urged students to shelter in place or, if they are elsewhere, to stay away from campus.

-Stephens is described as a black male, bald with a full beard, standing 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighing about 244 pounds. He is wearing a dark blue and grey or black striped polo shirt and is traveling in a white or cream colored SUV.

-Anyone who sees him is urged to call 911 immediately. Do not approach.

University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center and the Cleveland Clinic have been placed on lockdown because they are in the vicinity of the manhunt for Stephens, a hospital spokesperson said.


My apologies if this has already been covered but according to the article above:

"Stephens is a member of the assertive community treatment team at Beech Brook, a mental health organization in northeast Ohio, a spokesperson for his employer confirmed.
We learned about [the shooting] this afternoon when someone saw it on FB and notified us," said Nancy Kortemeyer, vice president of marketing and PR at Beech Brook. "We are doing everything we can to help and help locate him."


Does anyone know what the "assertive community treatment team " at Beech Brook is? Does this mean he works there or is there for mental health reasons? Beech Brook is a Mental Health organization.
