Facebook Video Killer Steve Stephens Known to Cleveland’s JACK Casino as Big Gambler, Big Loser

Steve Stephens, the man who brutally killed a defenseless elderly man on Easter Sunday and then posted video of the murder on Facebook, has admitted to having a gambling problem and was reportedly recently thrown out of a Cleveland casino.

His trouble at the casinos, however, did not end. He was reportedly a frequent visitor to the JACK Cleveland Casino and one casino worker who did not want to be named posted on social media that Stephens was thrown out of the casino a few weeks ago for allegedly stealing money from another player. Another employee who also wished to go unnamed said he didn’t know much about him, but that he played mostly craps and was “there like every day.”

The casino angle seems to be a really good place to keep an eye on him trying to return.

If he does pull off a robbery then that should give LE a break to find him.

Thinking about it, the release of fans from The Q would be the perfect opportunity for SS if he's still in the area and wanting to kill. The streets are instantly flooded, and many of the fans head to the bars. Hopefully police presence is stepped up in those areas as well.

Now that you mention it, It really did look like SS was in a manic state. (Could be drugs, I suppose, or both.), the gambling spree fits in with escalating Mania as well. Like you said, speculation only, but clearly SS has lost his mind imo.

MSNBC is saying he was on the phone with the gf at the time he shot him. For those of you who have seen it did he sound like he was talking to her something like he is dead cause of you

Another cause for concern would be the way parking lots are distributed downtown. If you've ever been to downtown Cleveland, you probably know what I mean. There's little hidden parking lots every which way. By hidden, I mean in the middle of nowhere. For instance, for one Indians game I went to we parked in a parking lot you could only get to by driving through an alley. It's easy for people to be hiding or waiting. The reason people use these creepy, isolated parking lots is because they're much cheaper than the garages and lots right around The Q. An unsuspecting fan that thought the cheaper price was a good idea could essentially pay an even bigger price if they're parked in one of these isolated spots. The point is, there's no way the police can be constantly surveying all of these areas to be sure there's no danger, and being very aware of the area, I'm sure SS is aware of this as well.

Hard to say how many bullets he may have, he is a CCL holder. It appears he had prior plans so he very well could have gathered ammunition.

I've been saying casinos since minute one, and he's in the right area. Erie PA, Salamanca casino, Niagara Falls, etc. We have tons here! but the heat is on and with the amount of cameras in casinos? The thought w local LE in PA is that he bought a new track phone-- not using his. Fishing seems like valid way to sustain when he runs out of $. I'm also 99% sure temp tag won't hit on the plate readers. I'm sure he's stolen new plates by now tho or is tucked back in the woods layin low. Too many cameras in the Falls, casinos, NY STATE THRUWAY (90) etc.

Noticed some of the photos from his social media showed him near Niagara Falls (the one with the stone bridge behind him, rushing waters underneath). Like a lot of hard core gamblers, he may travel a circuit to Erie, Niagara Falls, across the river to Canada. Also up to Detroit & Windsor. I'm no expert, but volunteered at a charity poker event a couple of times and the regular high stakes gamblers talked about making those trips to different casinos.

They also bet on sports, esp basketball. He sounds like he's in that league, especially if he was playing craps every day at JACK casino. That's a certain hard core type of gambler who does that. Their life revolves around it, can't live without it.

ETA: I can't stand gambling. LOL, I just don't enjoy losing money. Ever.

Does it sound like him to you guys?? When you go to a shooting range do you bring your bring own. O more to the point does this mean these are all his own guns??

This is obviously concerning if he is a gun freak has there been stuff on Sm carrying on about guns like we see so often??

Driving to Pennsylvania today just before crossing from New Jersey on I-78, we saw half a dozen New Jersey state police cars on an exit ramp; they had surrounded a small silver car with what appeared to be temporary plates. I presume it was either a false alarm or something else altogether, but it was rather startling to run into it so far from Cleveland.

My amateurish intuition tells me he is done killing. He got what he wanted by blaming a murder on his gf and displaying it to the entire planet. I think if he was out to kill more he would have done it by now. The guy is obviously not stable so who knows for sure what will happen. I'm betting he surrenders soon.

SS was talking ( rambling and hard to make sense of, at times). I thought he was just broadcasting, but he was hyper and it's hard to say who he might have had on the phone.

He did ask Mr Godwin to say her name, which he did, and he told him that she was the reason for what was about to happen to him.

I watched all the video's yesterday.This guy has fell off the deep edge and never plans to come back.He made a statement "He had lost everything" He blamed gambling (losing money),his mom for not sympathizing with him ,his job for an unknown reason but mainly his ex girlfriend for the break up.I don't believe he killed other people,think it was a ploy on his part.The way he said I'm going to go do this,here I go before he approached Mr.Godwin it sounded like his first time..I think he was hoping for his girlfriend to call and say I'll take you back.I think he is a ticking time bomb,with this anger building up for awhile.LE are thinking because he is desperate,he might rob or steal to get what he needs.As far as FB Live it should be dismantled from FB.There needs to be a petition.
