Just wanted to comment on how much Alcala resembles Richard Ramirez (the night stalker) in the mug photo in the end of the video above and Ramirez's picture here:

I wonder if any of these unsolved murders that they "assume" were done by the zodiak killer, could have been Alcala's doing? The posing of the body of Martha Marie Smith sounds like his MO. Thought I'd pass this list along for all to look at if you haven't seen it.

Martha Marie Smith wasnt raped and Alcala always raped the victim before killing them but I wouldnt doubt that its possible there are others that were assumed zodiak victims that were in fact Alcalas.

I think we should look carefully at whether Alcala killed anyone who was found with more than one ligature around their neck, especially if they appear to have been undressed or sexually assaulted or posed sexually.

After reading the above article where the HBPD had contacted the Youngstown PD about Joanne Coughlin possibly being an Alcala victim, but ruling her out because of the time line, I thought this Joanne Coughlin girl could be someone else we'd been looking for on another thread because I could not find a picture of her. Carlk found a picture of her for me (thanks again Carl) and she's definitely not the UID we were looking for over there and I had my dates screwed up anyway.

However, and I hope I can make myself clear here, when I looked at Coughlin's picture I just knew I'd seen her before, so I went to the Alcala picture threads looking to see which one she looked like that LE was comparing her to. Well, I didn't see any in the one's we have, which led me to believe they were looking at some we HAVEN'T seen when they made the comparison.

Wondering why then, does this girl look so familiar to me, then I realized it was because she looks like Wanda Priddy. Now, Wanda Lee Ann Priddy went missing from Port Lavaca Texas August 29, 1978. We know from the timeline that Alcala had relatives in El Paso, TX and he visited them in August of 1977, the prior year. Did he go there again in 1978 and could Wanda be one of his victims....the one the police thought was Joanne Coughlin in whatever picture they're looking at? Could she really be Wanda Priddy? What do you guys think? Doing a side by side (I think) of these two gals, they could be sisters. The two on the left are Coughlin and Wanda is on the right. I feel strongly about this, does anyone else thing we should submit this idea?

There are some Alcala's listed in People Finders living in Port Lavaca, though it doesn't mean they're related of course. Here's a map which would take Alcala between El Paso and Port Lavaca, right through San Antonio where he was born, and there are a whole lot of Alcala's there.

This woman was found in 1976 and ETOD is just days earlier. Alcala was in prison from October 14, 1974 until June 17 1977.

I sent a heads up the HBPD on the similarity between Joanne Coughlin and Wanda Priddy. May be nothing, but since we have no idea what picture they were comparing when they thought they recognized Joanne, I thought it wouldn't hurt. What an overwhelming job they have, we're only looking at about 80 different people in these 215 photos, and it's reported that they have 1,000 photos. Unreal.

I also think Dixie Arensen could be a Alcala victim, he was in California in 1968, but I have no Alcala photos that seem to match - and the only Doe Network case is 6 years later - so unlikely that I almost didn't post this.

She was murdered 18 days before my 3rd birthday. I was told everything by the family and the attorney when I was old enough.

Her mother and grandmother saw the news about this unidentified girl found in Maine and thought, what a poor girl and thought it was terrible for her family, not knowing that she was THEIR daughter and granddaughter, My mother.

See she was found in Maine and My Mother lived in Massachusetts in a different city than her parents. Also the sketch they put up of her on the tv and papers was so poor and her hair was short. My mother had long hair. The person that murdered her had cut it. So the sketch didn't look like her.

I think that this is a great thread, but I wonder if we might consider that not one of Alcala's victims were found in the desert. He either went into their homes to murder them, or he took them to a wooded area. I think that his MO would not change in the rest of the women he murdered. Just my thoughts and opinion.
