Gag me with a memory stick! Those looming self-portraits she made en route actually make me physically sick. Nauseous. Her eyes bore into you and they are crazed with self-empowerment & "watch what I'm going to do now!" (It's like looking into her mind, her plan, her inflamed intent, her adrenalin flooded will, her reality defiance.) Is it the same charge you would see if she were going to jump off a skyscraper? Just a mind out of control? No, I don't think so because there is also a manipulator-puppeteer presiding in the rear of all this. I'm beginning to get a chink of insight. She's the great photographer, the professional, it's been a life long dedication of hers--according to her. I now think that she gets behind the camera like a Hollywood director does. Sit over there, look to your left, stand behind him, etc., etc. Not only directing the action but she definitely DOES later cosmetize it to her tastes and liking. Life as she likes it, J.A.A. at the controls.

In 2008, she can't have him, so she wants him dead. Ergo, the mind formed the design to kill him. But all the more reason to load the scene with photographs and video. That is so in character I'm back to gagging. She had to set the stage, she had to show development, she had to photograph the surprise attack. Nothing is more believable to me than this having seen her face, her eyes, in those gawdawful selfies. Pass the emetic, pul-eeze.

Unresolved question: what was the significance of the duct tape?

A photo of the duct tape was introduced as evidence, but IIRC, there was no further mention of it.

My theory has been that (same as with the second rental) she had the gun taped to the engine compartment, and dropped it in the laundry room or it stuck to her foot and fell off there, and like the sink and other areas of the bathroom, left it alone as she didn't think it could hurt her.

BUT - didn't Travis have duct tape wrapped over the bodybug he was wearing? None of the pics I've seen of those things look as shiny as the one he's wearing in the nudie, maybe it slipped around or it worked better if it was wrapped, I don't know, but it may have been that piece.

Probably not resolvable: Arias commented "I don't think he would have liked that," when Flores suggested she planned and did take pictures of Travis in the shower with his consent. At another moment, she said she worked to convince Travis that Calvin Klein photos in the falling water of a shower would be artistic. She also said in a different spot that he would not have allowed that. She later said that Travis was proud of what his fitness regime had accomplished & wanted to record it. The reason all of this contradiction cannot be resolved, according to this lie detection buzzer here, is that she scored 5 out of 5.

Does anyone have a good, full screenshot of 5:30:30 (sitting shower pic)? I've taken several screenshots but haven't ever found a frame that has the top to bottom entire picture captured. Anyways, what I noticed on one showing the whole lower portion is that his foot/feet seem to be in motion:

I can't really tell if we're seeing both feet or one foot moving quickly and it appearing as two. Originally I thought it was his ankle and was investigating the odd colorations of his calf/thigh before noticing that wasn't an ankle at all but movement.

A pic with less red on his lower area would be nice, and one showing the entire shot would be stellar.

That's a VERY important area to explore considering the explanations of what was happening that were put forth in court. I've thought that Travis was first attacked while in the shower, not after he exited. Unfortunately, I don't have a better screenshot to contribute.

Yesterday, I was reading again C.M.'s imitations of wonderment in journal entries she crafted after the murder. How could this have happened? (Oh yeah, I did it.) She elaborates quite a bit and it's all false. Even her parents didn't believe her in light of the context of events, when she pretended to arrive fresh from her "trip to Utah". Since she knew she was faking the entries, they were for the benefit of anyone looking into the crime. This means she knew she would be suspected. So her careful plan, launched in May, was a defective abomination. There would come a payday for that, she just couldn't assess how close would be the scrutiny. Instead of detailing her Utah trip & the time she spent with Ryan and at the meeting there, she went on and on about her shock and surprise, her bottomless grief at the loss, her reactions to the news. She is focused on convincing the invading reader of who she is and how hurtful this is for her, one remote from the horrible discovery of July 9. She spends no time constructing and furthering her alibi. I think this choice was motivated by fear, not reason. She wanted to put as much time and distance as possible between herself and the murder she committed and in doing that, she neglected the supposed motive and experiences that made up the other story in SLK. Maybe she sensed that there were features of it that were already veering round to bite her. Like the timing, the proximity.

I've been so wanting to read her journal entries just prior to the 4th but, as you mention Tuba, there was no honesty in those afterwards and we have reason to suspect she removed or otherwise altered entries before, I'm beginning to think even if we get all entries we may start heading down another of her garden paths, where (so aptly put by JM) her lies grow like weeds.

Probably not resolvable: In the post verdict Channel 10 interview conducted by Troy Hayden, C.M. explains that she avoids eye contact with the victim's family in attendance because they all look like Travis & she doesn't want to remind herself of "the person who abused her". Is that so! Well, why did she climb into his bed & do a photo shoot with him on the day she murdered him? She wasn't wearing a blindfold then! If his face is anathema, why the portrait, the close-up, when he showered that fatal day? ____sorry, the buzzer just went off.

Probably unresolvable: During the interview she takes special pains to convince Hayden that Travis physically abused her & left her black & blue. That there was a male witness who saw her covered with bruises, that there was her sister who saw her injuries, that there would have been photos on her hard drive if attorneys had troubled to look, that emails & texts & pictures prove he was abusive and a pervert. All of this follows her tearful regrets that defending capital prosecution forced her to introduce the "murky side" of Travis, which she would NEVER have done otherwise. She would have protected his reputation. Is that so! Then why is she re-introducing all this in a television interview with a posture & words of intense persuasion in an out reach to the widest public and Troy Hayden? Why is she asserting now and once again with finality that her victim was a pedophile-abuser? The truth is, even a wall of mud would not satisfy her. And this was on the night when she opted, most emotionally, for the death penalty.

There's been a lot of speculation as to CMJA fabricating her journal entries. On pages 21 to 23 of the linked documents posted by Huffington Post is a Forensic Document Examination Report pertaining to her journals. It lists the date ranges for journals and their entries:

6/5/07 to 7/23/07
7/25/07 to 1/1/08
1/1/08 to 4/9/08
4/13/08 to 7/14/08

It is entirely possible that all of the last journal was faked as part of premeditation and cover up, given the short time period covered. The same could be said of the journal covering January to early April of 2008.

It is interesting to see what a short time frame is covered in the first journal; this covers a period of less than two months, whereas her others seem to range between three and four months. In June of 2007, according to CMJA, the relationship between her and TA officially ended. I can only imagine the obsession showing in her writing during this time period when they break up and then she plans to move to Mesa.

The prosecution examined the indented writing on two pages of the last journal and concluded that the indented writing on one particular page was from an unknown source.

So for someone who claimed to be so concerned about others seeing her journals, this forensic evidence seems to say that someone else was not only privy to her journal, but was writing something on a piece of paper on top of her journal page. ????

Hi Khaki, I just ran through the Tesoro receipts testimony on YT and got screen shots of the two receipts and the bank statement that shows the third transaction (whatever the paper was JM was discussing with Ms. Buff (Tesoro IT manager) about that gas purchase wasn't shown on the screen so all I could get was the bank statement.)

Since it concerns the cameras/pictures, I also got a pic of the cord on Travis' desk that appears to have some reddish staining on it but I've read it wasn't marked for testing and have heard no testimony about it.

WOW - first I've seen/heard about the computer cord! I have no doubt she probably (1) downloaded/stole a bunch of data from his computer or (2) tried uploading something nasty on there or (3) BOTH!! Remember her telling Flores that they were looking at pix together on his computer & then all these bugs were crawling on the screen like he was getting a virus?!?!? She was probably hoping she destroyed his computer & was trying to set the stage -- she knew damn right well there was no *advertiser censored* or pedophilia on there so she'd rather have it destroyed than exist all clean!! #SICKTWISTEDEVIL

Assorted notes from rewatching Day 24 (and maybe 25, it was late and I looked around):

JA says:

The rental had no floor mats.

She got to Monterrey after midnight (now 6/03).

She checked her MySpace account on the first (approx. 1/2 hour in length) visit to DB's.

The remote that somehow made its way into her car was for either a TV or DVD player.

She doesn't remember when she got the cans, could have been before or after Jack left for school.

She used gas from the cans about 15 miles this side of Winnemucka because the low light was on in her car, says she called the closest station to find out how far and thought she'd run out if she tried to make it. Q: Is there a phone record to back this up?

She called MM and DB at some point that evening (after killing T and on her way). Same Q as above.

She stopped at Buckeye, AZ for gas (no receipt was mentioned or shown by JM on this day at least).

Last night I got TA's gmail address from a letter shown (the one she sent after she killed him) and googled it and found a mixed martial arts message board that posted it in Feb. wondering if he was a member there. If he was it wasn't posted on the board but since one of the e-mail addresses listed in the docs gcharlie posted today has wrestling in it, maybe it was made for joining forums of that nature. They didn't find any e-mails associated with that account so it could be that's why he had it. Nothing showing up on google for it though.

Makes sense if she thought she needed help getting him back to the shower - put the shower mat on the carpet, roll him on it, pull down wet hallway.

I always thought the 5:33:32 (last) pic had a corner close to the camera I couldn't figure out, once I decided his feet/toes and her hands made up much of what we were seeing I figured it must be his ankle bone or her wrist, but my earliest thought that it was the shower mat edge never really left. Now with this carpet pic and areas that look like edges of something having been on it, maybe that is the mat corner in the last pic.

From everything I've read, a non-living person seems to weight much more than alive, it would have been very difficult for her to get him all the way down to the shower alone, and quickly, as she knew she may not be alone for long.
