Just heard from a good source that was once a serious POI may have been involved in a multi-million dollar swindle.

Speaking in general; for any named individual including Brewer or the P.I.M.Ps Akeem, Vybe, Blaze, Craze whatever nonsense name they call themselves there's nothing I/we can do. Police has the duty of vetting the *advertiser censored* out of them and they have a sound recording, to begin with. I believe police doesn't even have a POI.

A grand overnight. Sounds like fitting with average escort rates. 2000 would make me curious, so to speak.

Wouldn't know. Can't do anything but speculate on Amber's case. I prefer to look deeper in to Maureen's and Megan's cases. I think we have their last minutes in safety to examine. Regarding Melissa I'm not sure. Things seem to me like she may be somewhere around Long Island for business, i.e. similar as Megan around some seedy location.

Most hooker killers go free

OTTAWA — Killers of prostitutes have more than a 50% chance of getting away with murder, figures show.

Of the 63 slayings of hookers between 1991 and 1995, 34 (54%) remained unsolved at the beginning of this year, StatsCan reported yesterday in its survey of street prostitution.

That compares to the unsolved rate of 20% for all other murders.

"The private nature of a street prostitute's activities can make the identification of a killer very difficult — all the more so when that person is a stranger," StatsCan reports.

Clients were, or are believed to be, responsible for 50 of the 63 hooker murders, pimps for three, spouses or lovers for five and drug connections for five.

Pretty interesting that LB had a BDSM freak serial Killer nicknamed "Baby" in 1990. Wonder if we are missing something with no info on him? I wonder where he dumped the prostitutes he killed? There's also a book called hooker killer about him.

The casef Allen Gormely is pretty interesting because he used Laundry Bags to dispose of the prostitutes he killed and was suspected of 5 more than the two he was convicted of 1992. It's so close to Bittrolff also.

In one article, maybe NY Magazine, it was said that ALC went into the city every day to get heroin. Locals said heroin was plentiful on LI and wondered why she went to the city every day. I often wondered if she was working that angle as well...picking up heroin and handing it off to the LI suppliers/dealers. After her body being discovered there were some pretty big drug bust in SC. One of those busts included an ex detective and his daughter.

Strong strong point just k. The heroin in NYC is much purer and the further on LI you are the more stepped on the dope is. That's a good angle, maybe DS and Amber were selling dope out of the house i'm sure amber was going into NYC to score for a few people, but that isnt really the same as dealing. However, I wonder where Amber went to get dope. Taking the train everyday she would have come in contact with alot LIRR commuters too.

So, um, I looked up SY after seeing those initials here and there in the threads, and I cannot believe this guy's biography! He was a witness to decapitation?!? Not only does that send up some psychological red flags, but who writes that in a bio?!?

I'll be doing some research on this dude for sure.

We can't out him on forum, but most of us know about him. Nothing to connect him to our girls, though. Nothing I've ever been able to find, anyway.

Hawk is not wrong. Paraphilias (like foot fetishes or cross-dressing) do tend to correlate with higher levels of criminal activity.

Paraphiliacs as a group (and there's a lot of disagreement in the psychiatric field about what does and does not qualify) may have higher rates of criminal activity (obviously paraphiliacs who are exhibitionists or are attracted to children would) but that's not true of cross-dressers or trans* people. Not to mention the word "tranny" is offensive.

My Theory/Profile:

Someone local, but not the person that is suspected, is responsible; and, that for the person responsible, his thing is to toy with people. I think he bores easily and might even be so hyper as to develop some related physiological illness (kind of like comedians Michael J Fox and Robyn Williams both developing Parkinsons ... that's pure speculation about similarities between hyperactivity and Parkinsons). I think that he believe he is more clever than others, and that he initially used the potato sack canvas to wrap bodies because it was easily accessible. I can't figure out the significance of the gay man, woman and child, or even whether it is connected. He has changed his MO regarding disposal of bodies. The girl that was lost in the reeds ... that would be about toying with people. Perhaps it is a hunter that relocates to the Mesa area.

When was the most recent body located in either Long Island or Mesa area? If it's been a while, has anyone that lives fairly local suddenly develop an illness preventing the hunt?

I am thinking a garbage refuse truck stinks anyway right ?
So how hard would it be to move a body which has been decaying?
Plus so many garbage trucks are on the streets.

The problems I have with the garbage truck theory are:
1. Garbage trucks are loud and noticeable. A garbage truck pulled over on the side of the road where there are no houses would certainly be the opposite of discreet.
2. Every garbage truck I've ever seen has at least two (and usually three) people working on it- one to drive and one to scoop up the trash. Plus, in terms of efficiency two people working a truck is a whole lot faster than one person, who would have to park, get out, throw trash in the back, get back in, repeat. It just doesn't make sense to me.
3. I think that a garbage truck going on a joyride along a route it wasn't assigned to would make whatever waste management company that owns the truck mighty suspicious of what was going on and at the least would be cause for termination for whoever went awol with it.

Colleen & Kim Raffo both where picked up outside diners before their murders. I guess diners are fairly common on LI n NJ. At this point I suspect a Department of Transit worker, someone who works along the highway. Also sounds like Thalia might have had a boyfriend...

MY POI: member of utopiaguide, owns a boat on jones beach, birdwatcher, moved to sanibel FL, uses horse stables at exact intersection of manorville dump site on north st...! How has this POI gone ignored by all my fellow sleuthers!?
