I'm shaking and I have tears in my eyes. This HAS to be the genealogical link to Mr. Kyle.

there are several pictures of him, and he looks EXACTLY like Mr. Kyle! Look at the nose! Look at the side profile with the glasses!

I am in tears.....

I don't know how, but this HAS to be biological related to Mr. Kyle

A quick look at this, the family was in Indiana AND Nebraska!

I did a really simple quick search, Powell, Catholic, Indiana and found a scott powell who is an AM radio dj in Evansville, found his dads obit, searched that found clarences name and then the above link.

I'm shaking.

The screen shot of Mr. Kyle with his glasses from the Dr. Phil show and the side profile of Clarence Powell... do they not look exactly alike?

Who can pull up and do a side by side?

Mr Kyle is ~somehow~ biologically related to this family. I have NO doubts about it!

ETA: Mr. Kyle also resembles the am radio dj in Indiana, Scott Powell. Scott also has the 'squared' ear shape. ( I call it a squared ear shape).

I put in a call and email to Colleen Fitzpatrick as well. I don't really know where to go with this and I am not really comfortable making contact with this Powell family... (I'm too nervous). Where is believe!

Those Powell's have a distinctive look.

Many of the photos of the different people on Cubby's link seem to have that straight nice nose that Benjaman has.

They sure do don't they. I think Mr. Kyle also resembles Agnes Ester Powell. Scott has another site, for his radio show... has pics of his family there too. It has 'on the air' in it... but forget the name.

I'm am still amazed at the resemblence.

This is the Scott Powell I found first..... I thought he somewhat resembled Mr. Kyle in the shape of the face and temple area/hair line. I found Clarence from here.

Aren't they? Good lookin' guys. I once joked with believe telling her Mr. Kyle was a 'hot, hot, hottie'. (which is a phrase from a late night cartoon on CN.)

According to Ancestry:

Aaron W. Powell, b. 1803 was the son of Moses Powell, Sr., b. 1774 who was the son of Richard Powell, b. 1796.
With that said, I will say this, the Powell nose is very distinctive. I have found several myself who have this nose. I will add the website with photo's for all to look at shortly.

Benjaman has that distinctive Powell nose, no doubt about it.

I have a question and comment. How does this DNA submittance thing work with the article in the Kansas area work? The article requesting 'Powells' to get DNA tested to see if they are a closer match. Is this something they are requesting people who are interested in their DNA genealogy match to submit and bare the expense? I ask because I am 'Polish' about even suggesting people do anything with their finances....

I also ask, because while Carolwood ( and I am not doubting you, just still a bit confused here) did the checking on that Clarence M. Powell and his paternal line apparently does not match with the paternal line of this Kimberly Powell/Joseph Powell y-dna test. I am still not 'past' what I see as a very close resemblence between Mr. Kyle and Clarence, in the Eye socket/depth area... the eyebrow shape/arch (In a kind of Robert Shapiro has that very common Jewish look for lack of a better analogy) While I can see they aren't a 'perfect match' I see the features strongly. I saw them in myself and my great great grandmother and I see the same thing with this.

I'm half tempted to send an email to the owner of the site which listed those photos and ask if she? would be willing to do the dna test. I'm just a little hesitant to 'ask' someone to spend money. And I am not convinced Mr. Kyle absolutely 100% MUST be matched to this Joseph Powell/Kimberly powell dna thingy.

Thoughts? Explaination? Unless someone can tell me for certain because this Clarence does not match up with the Joseph Powell ydna test, I'm sending this person the email requesting they submit a dna test....

She cannot do the y-dna testing. It would have to come from a male.
Also, the file that I put on here came from Ancestry and may not be acurate. This is someone who submitted the file. I have not personally checked it, and it is possible it is incorrect.

Also, male dna mutates about every 500 males. Just thought I would throw that out there, lol....this is what makes the YDNA stuff not the same kind of fingerprint MtDNA is....
