The Cranston Police Department is searching for a missing, elderly Cranston resident.

74-year old Sharon Garber of West Blue Ridge Road went missing early Sunday morning. According to Police, she walked away from her home and was discovered missing at around 9am Sunday morning.

Garber is a 5'4 and 125 lbs. She is a Caucasian female with brown eyes and shoulder length hair.

Officials are conducting an active investigation and a major concern is the cold temperatures in the area. A search is underway in Garber's Garden Hills neighborhood.

Cranston Police Officials are asking anyone with information in connection to Garber's location to contact the department immediately at 401-942-2211.

I'm fairly local to this. It is currently 8 degrees. Was -4 at one point today. I see lots of people sharing the Facebook post from Cranston PD. Hopefully she's going soon!

Her family realized she was gone around 9 a.m. Police say no foul play is suspected, and they have ruled out an accident. They ask people to respect the family's privacy.

Does this mean she committed suicide by hypothermia?!
 
I think suicide (the obvious take away from what has been reported) but not necessarily from hypothermia. =( Does not say how or where she was found.

Sad for those who knew and loved her...
