Robert, a 12 year old Cree youth, was a child in care and lived in a boy's group home in Kearns, ON housed in the old Kearns Public School building. He attended the Public School in nearby Larder Lake, ON. On Dec 1, 1982 he was last seen during the lunch hour, walking into the bush behind the school with a couple of friends. He has never been seen since. He was wearing a jean jacket and running shoes and the temperature would have been nippy and the night freezing. There are rumours that his friends emerged from the bush the following day and that there had been an argument among them over the size of their fire and Robert had walked off in the bush by himself. There are questions about the search prior to reporting Robert missing. He has family that still search for him.

Robert Carlton Heintz has been missing for 38 years. He was 12 years old when he walked into the bush behind Larder Lake Public School. Bumping up for Robert. I don't feel his case had the attention it deserved - someone should have been held responsible, too. My opinions.

Also were the children he was with ever reinterviewed as adults?

I just submitted Robert Heintz as a potential match for a UID found in Newburyport, Massachusetts in 1992. Speculated to be between 11-16 years old when he died in the 1980's/1990's he was wearing white running shoes and jeans, on top of that while I see a discrepancy in the height department, the reconstruction of The UID compared to the MP is extremely similar in the forehead, as well as the ovular face and the sharp, prominent nose.

Thanks for submitting. If they haven't looked at Robert for this UID, they should have.
Doe Network even says he may have come from Canada. Please let us know if you hear back.

Do you happen to know if there's DNA or Dentals for Robert? There's both for the Doe that I suggested, I'm just hoping there is for Robert to help solidify a potential match!

No, unfortunately the only place I know to find that information is Doe Network, and his page doesn't say either way. :(

He walked into the bush?? Do you mean like 'the bush' in Australia...a vast expanse of countryside? A wilderness, but in Canada?

Although many may laugh, I have always believed that when they suddenly disappear like that, it is because they went through a door or portal to another dimension... because in an area where there is no one else there is no one hiding in the bushes or anything like that, it is because They are no longer in this dimension or rightly someone was waiting for him to kidnap him or perhaps the same schoolmates played a dirty game on him...
whatever it is rest in peace

This is the mentioned UID:

I wonder if he has been excluded for this UID, although he was not publicly listed as of Feb. 2024 (according to the thread for this UID)...
