I think hiring this(unusual person) has shown that they do really think she will get the DP.
This seems like the type of person you get for serious concerns about death. If they were so confident she didn't do it, Finnel would have been sufficient . IMO

Jose Baez just can't seem to stay away from controversy.

In the nearly three years he's represented Casey Anthony — whose case has enough drama of its own — Baez has been linked to a "spokesman" who tried to extort a journalist, and was working with lawyer Todd Macaluso until he got in trouble with the California Bar last year.

Now, Baez is working with a woman who's married to a killer sitting on Florida's death row.

The latest revelation came during jury selection this week, when mitigation specialist Rosalie Bolin appeared at the defense table with Anthony. As a mitigation specialist, her job is to find information about Casey Anthony's life that could help the defense in the event she's found guilty.

Rosalie went to three states to uncover her death row lover's past looking for mitigating circumstances. She must be there to help turn GA into a molesting daddy with a rage problem. Oh, this is going to get so ugly, IMO.

1) her husband's 10th trial is coming up this month
2) once she starts something she sees it through to the end . . .

how can she devote to the "end" with kc if her husband's 10th trial that she devoted herself to some 15 years ago is happening at the very same time?

Abandoning your four young children is NOT seeing parenting through to the end. I have no respect for anyone who abandons their children. Harsh, I know - but I have sat with many of those children and adults who were abandoned as children. It is not right.

Wow I just read this thread and watched the video of the daughter meeting the killer. It really creeped me out to see this guy meeting that pretty young girl and imagine what he was really thinking. And not to be obscene, but it almost looks like he's becoming aroused around 3:14. And after that point he keeps his hands over his lap.

I'm with logicalgirl; a shower is not enough.

As for how this relates to KC? Well, finally a mother figure who understands how to rid yourself of your kids. At least she did it the right way though and didn't double bag them. Too bad CA hasn't figured out how to rid herself of her spawn; it would probably do her a world of good (LA not included, of course). I also wondered how this RB woman's girls feel about her now dedicating her time to a young female defendant. It kind of seems like adding insult to injury.

At any rate, this is another debacle for the defense, taking this lady on. There are lots of examples to be made of people that come off as too hawkish on the death penalty, but she, to me, is an example of the polar opposite end of the spectrum: Someone so in denial of the existence of good, and evil and judgement, that they have sympathy for the devil.

And think they can make the rest of us buy into it. Some people do buy into it.

The judge & jury, however, live in a state of reality (or so we hope). JB really should have stuck with someone in a more neutral shade. The defense might actually impress us if for once, they find and keep a real, non-controversial and non-money grubbing expert who won't cut and run. I dunno, maybe go understated for once.

In case Rosalie didn't know she wasn't the first and won't be the last to grow up in a strict family..get in line and I'll pass her a box of tissue...I know dozens of Italian girls (and girls from other European families) who grew up in strict families...but None Abandoned their daughters to marry a sexual predator and killer of women

I am now wondering if the background of this "mitigation specialist" is EXACTLY why Baez kept her involvement a "secret" UNTIL after jury selection began.

All called jurors have been admonished to NOT read news, internet, etc...so this "breaking news" of her involvement (and history) shouldn't be known to them, thereby possibly tainting their impression of the defense team....
