Could be just from different devices with GPS etc or CCTV?
Could be
Could be both.
I still think others know what happened to SM
And they have been keeping quiet

Glad that’s been specified this timePolice halt new search for body of missing Ballarat woman Samantha Murphy
Cadaver dogs were used to scour Enfield State Park and its surrounds for the remains of the mother of three, with searching due to resume on Friday.www.smh.com.au
“The Murphy family has also been informed of this week’s search and police continue to liaise closely with them during the course of this investigation.”
Could the perp have made such a careless mistake? Transporting the victim and not turning off her phone or watch? I wonder, I know. I am going to say it again ..I still think Sam was hit accidentally and the accused did have to kill her as she was not deceased…I can see him “freaked out” riding around trying to figure out what to do and thought Sam’s cell phone was off. Dotta…I think you hit the nail on the head!If 5 pm ping is correct,
it might mean the accused was allegedly transporting the victim late afternoon.
When the dusk was approaching.

The new search area is about 8km from the Buninyong area, where police focused their search efforts in March, and almost 30km from where Ms Murphy is alleged to have been killed.
Police on Thursday said the new area was "highlighted by intelligence derived from a number of sources".
A range of specialist units will join Missing Persons Squad investigators for Thursday's effort, including the Search and Rescue Squad, Mounted Branch, Dog Squad, Public Order Response Team and motorcyclists from Road Policing Command as well as local police from Western Region.

5pm in February in Australia would still be very light, especially with daylight savings.
It doesn't start getting dark until after 7pm.
Praying this search is successful and she can be brought home to her family for burial. It seems they have a specific area so I hope that is a good sign that she's there based on a digital trail, cameras, etc.
Daylight saving was still on when Samantha disappeared.Victoria has finished daylight saving time
Getting dark earlier now

On 4 February, when Sam disappeared, sunset time in Melbourne was 8.31pm. (only 100km from Ballarat so there should only be 1-2 minutes difference.)5pm in February in Australia would still be very light, especially with daylight savings.
