Circumstances of disappearance :

Sara Morales, 14 years old, is from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. She disappeared on July 30, 2006 (Sunday) while going to a shopping mall (La Ballena). She had arranged to meet a friend there at 5 p.m., but never arrived at her destination. It was her friend who, half an hour later, informed her parents that the young girl had not shown up. At the time, disappearances were not handled as diligently as they are today, so LE didn't do anything until 72 hours had passed.

On January 10, 2008, Marcos RC, was arrested as a suspect in an attempted kidnapping in the municipality of Telde, which led police to the animal crematorium where he worked. The individual owned a white van, one of the clues that the Civil Guard and the National Police regarding Sara's possible kidnapper. They explored the incinerator but there was no trace of the teenager.

On January 25, 2009, the suspect committed suicide by hanging himself in the showers of the courtyard of Salto del Negro prison. Before dying, the man gave his brothers a letter addressed to Nieves Hernández, the teenager's mother. He assured that he had nothing to do with what happened to the young woman.

To this day, Sara has never been found and her fmaily is still looking for her.
She has a little sister, who was just 6 years old at the time of her disappearance.

I wish we could have little more info about this, like who is the person who thinks to have seen her in Amsterdam ? Was it somebody that knew her or a stranger who think he recognized her ?
