The search is along the Pee Dee River landing on Highway 34, between Darlington and Marlboro counties, according to an alert from DCSO. Divers with DNR were called by county authorities to aid in the search for a body near the landing, a NIXLE alert from the sheriff's office states. The landing was closed during the search.

"Well there is still some question about what was thrown over, how it was thrown over and what location. It's a matter of getting some better information. They've looked, given the information they had and not located anything," said Sheriff Byrd.

Captain Andy Locklear, with the Darlington Sheriff's Office, says the search will continue either Friday or this weekend depending on the weather. Crews searched Darlington County after they got a tip about Angie Pipkin. The 32-year-old mother of two, from Aynor has been missing since January.

WTF? Murder is one thing, dismemberment is an entirely different story. I'll never understand. :notgood:

My thoughts are with Angie's family, especially her two daughters. I'm so sorry this happened to them.

Maybe he just hasn't been caught.

I'm especially wondering about Susan De Luca.

So sad! The recent article made it sound like there were witnesses to the actual murder and dismemberment. Is that right or am I reading it wrong? If there were witnesses why did they wait so long to tell LE?

IMO she must have known him fairly well as her mother knew his address to go confront him.

It just says witness statements. A witness doesn't have to be an actual eye-witness, just someone who knows something related to the crime. LE calls anyone a witness if they provide information that is helpful to them.

Has it ever been released how Angie knew this man? I read that her mother knew where he lived and went to question him...so he must have been known to the family, IMO.

There is more information in the article. The family plans a vigil at the river. They are being helped out by a group called Kompassist. It sounds like Randy was pursuing a relationship that Angie didn't want.

Kompassist, a nonprofit missing persons advocacy network that works with families of missing people, has set up an online Angie Pipkin Memorial Fund to help pay for a funeral when Pipkin’s body is found.

Robinson knew each other. “They had mutual friends and we were told that he really cared about her and wanted to be with her,” she said. “However, Angie told her mom that she wasn’t interested in him.”

Rest in Peace, Angie....

My prayers go out for her family and friends...
