:bump: for Brandon!

Snipped:

He left voice mail messages with both numbers, but his voice was unintelligible, possibly because he was drunk. The last call was between 3:30 and 4:00 a.m. This was the last time anyone heard from him. After that, his phone went straight to voice mail. Investigators were unable to determine where Graves was when he made his last two phone calls.

New hope for family of missing Myrtle Beach man

The story of three women who had been missing for about a decade and were found alive Monday in a home in downtown Cleveland has given new hope to families of missing persons everywhere, including on the Grand Strand and in the Pee Dee.

That includes the family of Brandon "Peanut" Graves of Myrtle Beach, who hasn't been seen in more than three years.

Bumping this case and wondering, if murder suspect, Jesse Matthews, might have encountered Brandon, via a shared interest in football? Speculation, imo.

It would be helpful in helping in solving this case if we knew the names of the people he was staying with while in Sumter SC. The most important thing is knowing who he got into an argument with earlier that day? What was the make, model or picture of the car in the surveillance camera at the Sabastins nightclub. Why hasn't the Sheriffs Department ever released the footage or what the vehicle looked like. Is the Sheriffs Department covering something up?

Could the phone calls he made that night be unintelligentable due to fact he was maybe assaulted and couldn't speaker clearly! Maybe beaten to near death in a gang related initiation. I am just throwing out some alternative ideas to what could have happened. Why wasn't his cell phones pinged for the location by the police!

Lloyd, Graves’ oldest sister, is coordinating the event.

“Our family is trying to raise awareness about his case, not only his case, but other missing people in the State of South Carolina and around the world,” Lloyd said. “Our family is relying on God and trusting the he has the final say so.”

The Graves and German families of Dillon County said they are refusing to believe that their loved one isn't alive after going missing 13 years ago in Sumter County.

Brandon "Peanut" Graves has been missing since Jan. 30, 2010. At the time, he was 24 years old.

Martha German said life without him these past 13 years has been hard.

“Every time the news comes on, and they say they found a body, I cut the TV off. And then I’ll ease back up in there and I’ll check and see. Or somebody calls and says that wasn’t Peanut," said German.

Graves was a former trainer with the Coastal Carolina University football team and went to Sebastian Nightclub in Sumter County after homecoming festivities at Morris College where he was a graduate.

Sumter County deputies said bouncers removed the then 24-year-old from the club that night and that's the last time anyone saw him.

ABC15 talked with Chief Deputy Hampton Gardener and Major Randall Stewart with the Sumter County Sheriff's Office Tuesday about the case.

Gardener said they haven't gained any new information in recent years.

He added they've followed any and every lead that's come in but nothing has materialized.

Gardener said they held a number of searches, interviewed dozens of people, traveled to neighboring counties and worked with national missing persons groups to find out what happened to Graves, but nothing new turned up.

They said Graves' disappearance is still open but sadly the case has gone cold.

His family said in the past 14 years, they continue to pray for Graves every time they come together.
Knowing that it’s been 14 years, that we can still link the chain together and reunite ourselves, as a family," said Martha German, Graves' Aunt. "We have a family meeting once a month, and we still recognize him as being a part of our family. Every time I pray, I always remember him in prayer.
