Found Deceased SC - Brittanee Drexel, 17, Myrtle Beach, 25 April 2009 - #17

I read a really old article that was written maybe a year after she disappeared (have no idea where... but think it may have been My Horry County News) and her mom was quoted as saying something SIMILAR to ...

"I think the reason Brittanee was so desperate to come down here and willing to lie about it because someone promised her something. Maybe a modeling gig or a meeting with a modeling agency. She wanted to be a model."

She also voiced her opinion that going to Club K and being seen in the VIP area had something to do w/ why she thought that.

Then she talked about how it was a difficult time for BD... she said her dad had recently moved out, she was losing her house, and she and CD were going through a divorce at the time. She indicated that BD was not handling those life changes very well and had been taking medication for depression.

Maybe the modeling agency thing is the circumstance he's talking about? Maybe she was introduced to someone at Club K under the false impression that they were affiliated with a modeling company and we're looking for talent? What if the REAL reason she walked back to her hotel was because she thought she was going to an "audition" of some sort and hopped into a car with someone she thought was an agent or something? They might have kept up the act even after they got to the Charleston/Gtown area by telling her that they wanted photographs with a woodsy/nature/park backdrop for her "modeling portfolio".

IDK... just spitballing ideas here.

Good idea! Teens are often lured into trafficking with the promise of a modeling or acting job. The "acting' jobs are often within the *advertiser censored* industry

At first I was wondering too, but realized that he most likely was talking about twelve jurors. He's concerned about them having enough for the dp.

Just an fyi on the Prada sunglasses, I really don't think there's anywhere locally that sells them. Any other locals know of anywhere? That's very coincidental.

Outlet mall?

Maybe a "higher end" store with an outlet division (Nordstrom Rack, Saks off 5th, etc) would sell them. Or even a Prada outlet.

I know I bought some $10 pairs of Fossil sunglasses at the outlets. They were authentic, Just marked down for outlet sales because they were a season or two "behind."

What about something like a Sunglasses Hut or something? They would have places in normal shopping malls.

The way I took it, by hearing him say "all it takes is 1," is he meant that somebody might vote not guilty even though they believe the prosecution proved their case beyond a reasonable doubt. They would do that because they didn't feel comfortable with the amount of evidence to potentially send somebody off to die. Hopefully that made sense lol.

There appear to be two Tanger Outlet locations in MB, both with Sunglass Huts and one with a store called "Cool Shades."

There's a million of those "beachwear" type of stores up and down the boulevard that sell those kinds of knockoff sunglasses around here for $10-15 bucks. They are very similar to the types of stores in Times Square that seem to sell the exact same t-shirts, magnets, key chains, etc.

I hope someone has appealed to the church pastors in the area, they would have the heartbeat of the community and could be the intermediary between LE and witnesses. There's a lot of power with the church leaders in these type communities.

There are also 7 older generation Taylor brothers in MC, all referred to as 'adopted', one of whom has the same name as the older BT sex offender referred to earlier.
If indeed the same, this gives an inkling of how large this clan really is. And all still living there.

Agree. This reminds me of the Holly Bobo case.

Ok quoting myself. This is just getting really eye-opening. Another of the brothers is another pastor at another MC church.....

ETA- I'm posting all of these tangled webs trying to make sense of how these secrets have been kept for 7 years. There seem to be horrendous and decent people in this clan. The horrendous ones have been getting away with COUNTLESS crimes for a long long time.

1. imo, I think the group she was with know nothing about what happened, I do not think they know the ppl that may be involved.
2. imo, they split so early and hitailed it back to NY was because they were doing something illegal and did not want to get caught.
3. imo, the T brothers and associates are the ppl LE is focusing on.

all of this is JMO.

So I don't have to read through 17 threads could someone clarify or point to discussions about who these t brothers are? Also about the corner people are discussing?

Come on Dex,that's not fair to speculate LE as being involved in meth with nothing to back it up.JMO.
