Exactly why I was asking if there was legit attacks, lol.

As my Mom would say, this is making a mountain out of a mole hill.

Pandemonium over nothing but ones fears of clowns is sweeping the nation right now, lol.

And it's Halloween time so you can buy costumes EVERYWHERE!!! Kids are going to be dressing up to scare others. How do you know the difference between a good and bad clown, in the month of October??

I hope nobody gets themselves hurt or dead over this madness!!

Lots of people disguise themselves while committing crimes, armed robberies, bank robberies, etc etc,

that doesn't automatically mean they are going to get away with it,

i don't think most of these "clowns" are criminals at all, they are just a bunch of jack-a$$es looking for attention, and this has become an easy way for them to get it

A clown in Fort Wayne, Indiana found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time, and is now in an area hospital in critical condition. According to WANE-TV, a man in a clown suit was shot several times while he was walking down the street at around 12:30 Friday afternoon. In this case, the clowning was particularly ill-considered because he was in a bad part of town.

Fort Wayne Police Department spokesperson Michael Joyner said a white colored suv pulled up alongside of the clown. A man was driving. Joyner said the man got out of the car and fired several shots. The man then got back in the suv and headed north on Plaza.

The article about Ft. Wayne was posted yesterday on some kind of hoax wordpress blog. There's no legitimate source for it.

Scary clowns sightings apparently are*popping up in Metro Detroit.

In a tweet posted on Twitter early Sunday, 17-year-old Chris Henckel wrote: “We just saw this clown on Cass and Moravian. He tried to follow our car. This is getting insane.”

The tweet includes a video showing a clown standing at a car wash, slowly waving at the camera. As of Monday evening, the video has been retweeted more than 7,100 times.

The video comes at a time when creepy clown sightings have caused problems across the country, including reports of people dressed as clowns trying to entice children into the woods in South Carolina and North Carolina...

This is getting nuts, we can't even differentiate real sightings from fake ones now.

Although the video that just popped up with the two guys jogging at 7 am, seemed pretty fake...but regardless it's just feeding into whole myth and causing more people to spread false panic.

Whether your purposely crafting a fake viral video or donning a clown suit and scaring people, it needs to stop before all these news reports start ending with fatalities.

the more the media reports about them, the worse it will get, and you will get more people doing this,

they are looking for attention and they are getting it,

the media is feeding them what they are craving, so why would they stop?

the best thing to do would be to ignore them, unless they commit a crime,
 
IMO, and I'm sure I'm in the minority here, but social media is the problem. Unfortunately it's dominated by immature, narcissistic attention seekers and budding sociopaths who have too much time on their hands and get a thrill out of creating chaos. Facebook, Twitter, etc. is their tool. The fact is, without it this sort of thing would never have even started. Now it's become viral. I already didn't like social media, now I like it even less. JMO
